Hi, I've got an interesting question @ the forum: start an x2gosession at server startup automatically so that login is quicker for the user. the user came up with a solution, i find this interesting and would also be interested about further input and ideas. http://x2go-community.org/node/67 tobias

KScreen in new Kubuntu conflicts with X2go

Hi Running x2go-server on Kubuntu 13.04 is problematic since it has the new (KDE) "intelligent" screen manager. It remembers the screen resolution and automatically sets it (It's nice for physical screens). This causes big problems when you start a session the first time(where I got an overly large resolution) and when going from a large to a small screen. It even remember the screen resolution between sessions - so no help logging in/out. The workaround for now is to remove the kscreen package - but in the longer run it needs to be fixed. I've filed a bug report in kscreen - but I don't know what will happen to it. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319065 Pascal

Problems with Windows X2go Client

http://ubuntuforums.org/search.php?searchid=774322 I posted here but no one answered. I joined Zing and it said no has posted there in the forum for more than 30 days. I wanted to try and figure what I was doing wrong with my Windows 7 X2go client. I installed 12.10 server base then did the console command to install Xubuntu. (So had all my server stuff and Desktop stuff) I installed the PPA for X2go. I had a prior X2go viewer installed. (On windows enterprise) I used the same ip address as the prior 12.04 with the exact setup. It says host key server changed and for security reasons it will not connect. I have uninstalled and deleted the .x2go in my "user directory" and the program files folder for X2go. I can not find were X2go viewer holds the old keys so I can delete them. Knowing this directory on my windows enterprise box would be great. I do not want to switch to NX or Tight VNC unless I really have to Kind Regards J. Pruitt

lightdm-remote-session-x2go

Mike I installed this before looking on the wiki for any documentation but when I looked I didn't find any. lightdm-remote-session-x2go appears to have installed ok but now the question is how to use it? Is there any configuration required after installation? opensuse 12.1 and firefox hangs

Hello, here are package versions on my opensuse 12.1 host. x2goserver 4.0.0.1-4.1 nxlibs and agent 3.0.5.20-3.2 First time I click on firefox menu It get hanged for 1 minute or so. Then it works normally but sometimes hang again. As I like light environements, I use LXDE as desktop I noticed this problem only with Firefox but it may be other libs issue. Any clue for this ? Thank you. --

bug 106 - SSH Host Key Validation fails when ECDSA is already known

How do I remove the host key? This bug is quite annoying. Especially because it's easy to trigger and the prompt dialog doesn't explaint how to remove the existing key. http://bugs.x2go.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=106 I already tried 'ssh-keygen -R [host]' with no effect. and according to the bug report this is not how it's done anymore... Runlevel 5 needed?

Hello everybody, in the installation instructions there is a remark that the server has to be run runlevel 5 to allow the X2Go server to accept connections. Why is it like this? Is the local XServer needed for operation? Is there an easy way to overcome this? Background of my question: I'm interested in using X2go in our system, but we had to switch to runlevel 3. Actually we use mainly VNC sessions for remote operation and these tended to hang up with a "local" XServer running on the server. Thank you very much. Best regards, Markus

issue: GTX don't work with V.4.0.0.1

Hello, I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and a GTX 680 (Driverversion: 304.48) The old x2go (3.) worked with different 304.xx versions.
