x2go with OS X and Proxy Server

Hi All: Has anyone been using x2go on OS X using the proxy server option? We can get things to go just fine from a Windows machine (we are using two ssh keys, and in authorized_keys on the server direct the connection from the proxy server to an internal one). However, when we try the same settings on the OS X x2go interface, the connection sits there and never gets passed a status of "connecting". Any help appreciated! Thanks, Ted

Local Desktop Session with two monitors

Hi, is it possible to connect a local desktop session where the user we are connecting to has a two monitor desktop? Hello, I use x2goclient to connect to a ubuntu 12.04 server machine with gnome installed. It worked well before I recently updated it. I remembered the updating related to ssh, and now I cannot connect it with x2goclient. I got a black window, and later x2goclient disconnected automatically. I tried x2goclient installed on a Win XP and Unbuntu 12.04. All failed. So the problem should be on the server side. The x2goserver/x2goclient are all the latest version. The information printed from the client side is attached. I saw nothing abnormal. Do you have any ideas? Current Mac x2goclients crash

I have attempted to run the 4.0.0.4 and 4.0.1.0 builds of x2goclient on my MacBook Pro (OS version 10.7.3). Both of them crash immediately on launch. When attempting to run from the command line I get illegal instruction 4. Unfortunately, I have not used a Mac long enough to know how to troubleshoot this (though I do have an extensive UNIX/BSD/Linux background) beyond the basics outlined below. For the 4.0.1.0 build, I have verified the md5 sum matches. I have the .dmg files for the 4.0.1.0 and 3.99.2.1 builds mounted. One thing I notice is that 4.0.x is significantly smaller than 3.99: /dev/disk1s2 50272 50272 0 100% /Volumes/x2goclient /dev/disk3s2 223104 188328 34776 85% /Volumes/x2goclient 3.99.2.1 Are the newer builds expected to be this much smaller? Unpacked, the entire dmg for 4.0.x is about 70MB smaller than the actual space used by 3.99.x, even with the dmg for 3.99 being somewhat bigger than the amount of space required.

x2goclient sessions immediately exit

One of our x2gousers is having problems where sometimes it seems to get stuck in a mode of connecting, the screen displays briefly, and then it exits (suspends). I've turned on debugging on the server but no error messages. x2golistsessions missing?

Finally got around to trying the install instructions for the latest x2goplugin: http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:advanced:x2goplugin No problem installing everything on server and client and on the client the web browser *does* present the normal x2go login screen but when attempting to login I get an error <http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:advanced:x2goplugin> * Connection failed sh: 1: x2golistsessions: not found* I can't find any mention of this error on the Wiki so I am not sure what is wrong The regular x2goclient and pyhoca work ok. Trying to check .. it seems like this x2golistsessions is supposed to be part of the x2goserver or the x2goserver-xsessions packages. But when I checked x2goserver on launchpad I did not see *x2golistsessions*listed ? brian * *

How to configure 'unattened-upgrades' on debian squeeze to upgrade x2go packages?

Dear all, I'd like to have all installed packages on my debian squeeze systems upgraded automatically whenever newer versions are available. For this, I utilize apt's 'unattended-upgrade' functionality and the corresponding package 'unattended- upgrades' (http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/unattended-upgrades) For most included apt sources this works flawlessly. However, I didn't manage yet to have 'unattended-upgrades' also pick up changes of X2Go packages. In the configuration file for 'unattended-upgrades' ('/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/50unattended-upgrades') one has to identify 'Allowed- Origins' by an (origin, archive) duple (according to the comment): ----- /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/50unattended-upgrades ----- // Automatically upgrade packages from these (origin, archive) pairs Unattended-Upgrade::Allowed-Origins { "${distro_id} stable"; "${distro_id} ${distro_codename}-security"; "X2Go stable"; }; [...] ----- /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/50unattended-upgrades ----- For other sources I use field 'Origin:' from the Release file as 'origin', and filed 'Suite:' as 'archive'. Unfortunately, the X2Go Release file <http://packages.x2go.org/debian/dists/squeeze/InRelease> does not have a 'Suite:' field. I tried 'stable' (as shown above), 'squeeze' and '${distro_codename}', but none matches. In <http://wiki.debian.org/RepositoryFormat#A.22Release.22_files> I found this remark: "These fields are optional. They may be displayed to the user by package management tool or used for pinning. It is suggested that any repository published for other users to use fills meaningful information in these fields so that the user can tell apart different repositories. Description Origin Label Version Suite Codename" Would it be possible to add the 'Suite:' field to X2Go's Release files? Ubuntu 12.04 connecting to Ubuntu 12.04 only got black screen

Hello all, I have a ubuntu 12.04 laptop client with x2goclient 3.99.0.5. installed. I use this client to connect to another ubuntu 12.04 server with x2goserver 4.0.0.1 installed. I got a black screen, and later it is disconnected. This happens when I upgraded the ubuntu server. It worked well before I did this upgrade. I found this thread https://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/x2go-user/2011-May/000152.html When I followed method in https://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/x2go-user/2011-May/000157.html It becomes even worse. x2go timeout error after 4.0 upgrade
