Font size in a 'Single Application'

I have just installed x2go (server on my xubuntu 18.04 desktop, client on my xubuntu 18.04 laptop). I am using it to run Digikam as a 'Single Application'. I must say it was incredibly easy to set up and get working, congratulations to the developers. The text in Digikam is a bit too large, i tried increasing the DPI in the session settings but that seemed to have no effect (or maybe it made the text even bigger!). So, is there a way to make the text smaller? -- Chris Green

Hi $LIST, According to Mike#1, who currently attends DebConf in Montreal, Debian 9 + X2Go Stable + KDE5/Plasma have been shown to work together. This is a single report so far, though. If anyone is willing and able to test and confirm this, it would be highly appreciated. Another test result we'd be interested in would be what happens if you use Arctica NX-Libs and X2Go Heuler instead of X2Go Stable. X2go server and pgpool

I'm trying to get x2go server running in a high availability environment, which includes using pgpool for replication etc. I've got my /etc/x2go/x2gosql/sql file setup this way: backend=postgres host=<hostname> port=9999 When I try x2godbadmin -createdb I get a pgpool error I don't understand: DBI connect('dbname=x2go_sessions;host=<hostname>;port=9999;sslmode=disable','postgres',...) failed :ERROR: unable to read message kind DETAIL: kind does not match between master(53) slot[1] (45) at /sbin/x2godbadmin line 530. Backend=postgres at /sbin/x2godbadmin line 530. When I connect with pgAdmin I can see that the x2godbuser has been created and the x2go_sessions database has been created. If I try to connect to the database I get this error [cid:image002.png@01D44F61.9E2EB470] If I change the port= to 5432 (the default postgresql port) the command works fine. So, I guess my first question is, is this sort of setup supported? If so, is there any documentation or suggestions? x2go error: Failed to start Agent (terminated unexpectedly)

Hi all, I am in the process of evaluating x2go as an alternative to VNC. It looks very promising, but we are running into an odd issue. I am running a basic setup: x2goserver-xsession is installed on a CentOS 7 machine, users connect to it using the x2go client (either from Linux or Windows) and receive a KDE desktop. When connecting, I get this error (from /var/log/messages): <HOSTNAME> /usr/sbin/x2gocleansessions[124414]: <USERNAME>-50-1537370420_stDKDE_dp24: state file for this session does not exist: /tmp/.x2go-<USERNAME>/C-<USERNAME>-50-1537370420_stDKDE_dp24/state│ <HOSTNAME> /usr/bin/x2gostartagent: Failed to start X2Go Agent session with ID <USERNAME>-50-1537370420_stDKDE_dp24. X2Go Agent terminated unexpectedly. Aborting session startup. │ The same error "Failed to start agent..." is shown in the x2goclient. I have narrowed this down to one line in my bashrc: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib64:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH If I comment this line, I can start sessions without any issue. As part of my debugging, I have set the x2go server log level in /etc/x2go/x2goserver.conf: [log] loglevel=debug Any suggestions for next steps? Is my logging level really set correctly, or should I be seeing more? Thanks, Tim

Where is the openSUSE Tumbleweed repository?

Greetings. I want to use the X2Go Repository (not the official openSUSE one) to install X2Go on openSUSE Tumbleweed. According to <https://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:repositories:suse#adding_the_x2go_repos…> the main and extras repositories should be located at <http://packages.x2go.org/opensuse/tumbleweed/main> and <http://packages.x2go.org/opensuse/tumbleweed/extras>, respectively. The extras repository is there but the main repository is not. Has something happened to it? Problem restoring connection on Ubuntu 18.04

I have a very strange problem with x2goserver running on Ubuntu 18.04. I get an error message on the client side when I try to suspend the connection. I also, can't reconnect to existing connections. I haven't had this problem with 16.04. I tried debugging the problem and I discovered that /var/lib/x2go/x2go_sessions database is not getting updated when connection is created. I tried erasing and re-creating the database, same problem. Even running perl script manually: /usr/lib/x2go/libx2go-server-db-sqlite3-wrapper.pl insertsession,50,blah,blah-50-1536602027_stRkonsole_dp doesn't change the database. I installed x2goserver from ppa:x2go/stable following instructions on x2go page. What could be the reason for this? How do I debug it further? Thank you. Attention all users of Pale Moon and X2Go

Hi List, Pale Moon (a Firefox fork) up to version 27 was/is the recommended browser to use via X2Go, as it performs way better than current Firefox and its derivatives, especially over slow links. With version 28, this is no longer true. Something broke during that update, and performance is now about as slow as with a regular, current Firefox. We have at least one commercial offer by a developer to get this investigated and fixed, and currently one customer interested in sponsoring this work. However, they fear that the actual fix might exceed their budget. So, is anyone else out there that needs a fast, and supported/up-to-date browser in an X2Go session? If so, please either reply in this thread or contact me via E-Mail.
