PyHoca: no x2go session

Hello, I've installed PyHoca-GUI to test it, installation on Debian Squeeze with Gnome was no problem. After starting it, I found an applet. I've started a connection and I got a form where was asked for the password. After giving the password I saw a message that authentication was successfull. But, that was it. I don't see a remote desktop. When I do a mouse-over on the PyHoca-gui applet, I see (translated in English): "Connecting to remote X2go server". Not sure what's happening here. With X2goclient I can connect. What's different? I am wondering the logfile says "WARNING! Connected to remote version 3.4.0 with local version 3.5.0.". I will attach it the file. Indirect connection

Hello, I have customers with x2go installations in a local network behind NAT (fat clients), and I am looking for a way how to connect easy to them. Of cause I can make a port forwarding, or an SSH tunnel from the fat client to my computer, but maybe you have a better and more flexible idea? In earlyer times I used TightVNC. There was the great "-via" command, something like: vncviewer -via henk(a)server.henk.nl 192.168.0.33 Any ideas how to be flexible behind NAT with X2go? Autolaunching

I can't find this in any of the docs, wiki, or man page. I want to set up a KDE menu entry to launch x2go sessions automatically. This should involve a command-line something like 'x2goclient Droog' (with Droog being the session I've created), but that doesn't work. # man x2goclient No manual entry for x2goclient See 'man 7 undocumented' for help when manual pages are not available. # x2goclient -h Can't load translator (:/x2goclient_en_us) ! Can't load translator (:/qt_en_US) ! wrong parameter: -h Otherwise, GREAT JOB on x2go peoples! Thank you!

libssh-4 0.4.7 for Lenny?

Hello, I've installed x2goserver on a machine with Lenny, but strange enough I cannot connect to it. I see a new session, but it crashes. In the sessions file I see: ---------- Loop: WARNING! Connected to remote version 3.2.0 with local version 3.4.0. Loop: WARNING! Unrecognized session type 'unix-kde-depth_24'. Assuming agent session. Proxy: PANIC! Failure reading from the peer proxy on FD#5. Loop: PANIC! No shutdown of proxy link performed by remote proxy. ---------- On the same server I have FreeNX, before this was no problem. Okay, I will try to find the latest releases (altough I am pretty sure we have that already installed) and install these. But excuse my doubts, the thing is that this problems happens regardless whether the server is v2 or v3. It appears with x2goclient v3 but not with x2goclient v2 connecting to the same server (the same session even)... Have fun, Arnold

Last call for offline weeking, it's only a few weeks until I'll leave Europe - the area of cheap an reliable internet connections :) It would be brilliant if you'd manage to isntall the plugin for the offline wiki version before departure.

Local share appears as a text file in $HOME/Desktop - cluttering the desktop

Hello, I was finally able to get x2goserver et al working on Arch linux (thanks to all the devs!) and would like to resolve some other matters (some already existed with stable versions of x2go). When sharing a local directory, x2goserver creates a sshfs mount in /tmp, which is linked by $HOME/media/disk/... So far so good. Additionally, there is a file created in $HOME/Desktop: $ cat _home_mu$sshfs-disk$ /tmp/mu_media/disk/_home_mu mu-52-1313337646_stDmk-remote-session.sh_dp24 Is this file (_home_mu(sshfs-disk)) supposed to be clickable and lead to opening of that mounted directory in a file manager? Which file/desktop manager supports that format? (I use PCmanFM in LXDE on Arch linux for managing the Desktop and that file is just displayed as any other ordinary text file.) Slow internet connection and background personalization

Hi. i have been playing with x2go and i have to say it, it is an awesome piece of software. I want to use it through really slow connections, wich are the better settings with -q and --pack for it? It is possible to personalize the background of the pyhoca-cli? (when the connection is about to show up it shows a background that says "x2go" and i want to put some another image in there. x2goclient X-forwarding-problem

Hi all, I've the following setup: * a remote Xserver-session on a client via xdmcp and gdm3. * In this session I want to use x2goclient to access a remote server Starting a X2go-session with x2goclient I get the following error: ... ... Info: No suitable cache file found. Info: Forwarding X11 connections to display '192.168.0.50:0.0'. Session: Session started at 'Thu Jul 14 12:12:50 2011'. Warning: X connection failed with error 'Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key'. Session: Session started at 'Thu Jul 14 12:12:16 2011'. Warning: X connection failed with error 'Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key'. Obviously there is a problem with the access to the xserver. Using kdm (kde4) instead of gdm3 it works (partly). Maybe the difference is, that gdm3 doesn't use ~/.Xauthority any more. See here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=586685 Maybe the proposed workaround helps here. Keyboard and X2Go v3

Hi all, first time on this list. We are using X2Go in our business and encountered a strange problem: With the new x2goclient of version 3.something the keyboard is acting funny. Sometimes Ctrl or Shift hang, much more often Ctrl+Shift hangs. And AltGr always hangs. (Yes, we are germans with german layout:) That means after entering | all the following keys of 'less' become 'ł€ſſ' for example. Suspending the session and logging in again unsticks the keys but thats not really a solution to tell our users and customers... Needless to say that the old v2 works without problems in this regard. Is this a known problem? Is this perhaps even fixed in the development-version? Or is this better to report on the developers mailinglist? Thanks, Arnold
