Trying to follow the install x2go... http://wiki.x2go.org/installing_x2goserver_debian_ubuntu Added the repository and ran... aptitude install x2goserver x2godbadmin --createdb ...looks good. Then... http://wiki.x2go.org/installing_x2go_thin_client_environment_debian#install… ...for a PXE server. Ran... aptitude install x2gothinclientmanagement ..results in Couldn't find any package whose name or description matched "x2gothinclientmanagement" Any tips to help get me going?

Crashing sessions

Hello, I've seen the last time session problems. Sometimes, most of the time when closing a full-screen window, the whole session is gone. I've seen this with both x2goclient and Pyhoca-GUI, but I cannot reproduce it. I know this problem from FreeNX, it's one of the reasons I switched to X2go. I think it's something in the NX libraries. Maybe it has something to do with new NX libraries? Are here more people with this issue? Is here somebody who knows more about this issue? Logging into Xubuntu using x2go

A lot of people have noticed that logging into Xubuntu using x2go results in a stock Xfce desktop instead of a Xubuntu one. Some workarounds for this have been identified and posted at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xubuntu-meta/+question/157817in case anyone is interested.

X2go i18n team

Hi all, we would like to set up an i18n team for X2go. The task of this team will be the maintenance of translation files in all X2go projects that utilize translation mechanism. Do I need to be able to read and write code for this? Definitely, no! Become a member of a translation team is a possibility to be in close contact to the developer team without necessarily being able to code. Only pre-requisite: you use X2go quite regularly and no the functionalities of the X2go components... plus: your English is good enough to find good translations of menu items, dialog boxes, etc. Each translator is responsible for the translation files of his/her language. Of course, it is also possible to maintain one translation language as a sub-team (that is: one language is maintained by more than one person). Currently these applications are using translation features: x2goclient pyhoca-gui x2gognomebindings plasma-widget-x2go (KDE$ binding) x2godesktopsharing x2goadmincenter ... (possibly more to come) ... The idea is to have a dedicated mailing list for announcing x2go-i18n issues (mostly mails like: ,,i18n Team, please translate this-and-that'' and a permanent team (with fluctuations, if needed, but preferably not so much fluctuation among the team members) that feels responsible and dedicated to providing a multi-lingual X2go environment to the world. The tools that we use for translations are currently versatile. Depending on the team we will find ways to standardize the translation technologies (if the team members are flexible with using different i18n tools, then this may not be needed). x2go-server

Hi, we are using x2go as Terminal-server-Solution instead of an LTSP-server in the skolelinux edu-debian-environment. The TS-server works an the Clients are working well, but: 1) The RAM fills with old x2go-sessions. They are not killed by any service anytime. The used RAM grows up and the server-performance decrease. I "solved" the problem by killing all x2goagents-prozesses with cron twice a day. 2) The home-directories of my users fill with log-files like these : /home/pcag01/.x2go/S-es01-119-1313081349_stDKDE_dp24and they are not deleted. 3) My logfiles in /var/log like message or syslog grow up to a few hundred MB for example with entries like these: Sep 22 06:30:24 ltspserver01 ltspserver01 console-kit-daemon[24530]: WARNING: Record was not written to disk (File too large) Sep 22 06:30:55 ltspserver01 last message repeated 606 times Is there anyone who understands what my server makes? Please be patient, the sites will be available for you again soon (a matter of some hours)!!! Hi all, we have a DNS provider transfer running and unfortunately, we made a mistake for the hosts code.x2go.org, git.x2go.org and packages.x2go.org. The Debian package repository and the Git site of X2go are temporarily unavailable due to DNS transfer problems. Depending on your location on the web this problem will last for at max. 48-72h. Question about Pyhoca-gui

Hello, To use Pyhoca-GUI you need 4 steps: - start Pyhoca-GUI, what only adds an icon - find and open the icon - connect to a server - start a session to that server I think for many normal people this is "complex". They would like 2 steps: - start the program, so that it's visable and not only an icon - start a connection and session to a server I am afraid this is not possible with Pyhoca GUI. Correct? x2goclient does not connect, Pyhoca-GUI does.

Hello, Strange problem. I connect with x2goclient to a customer, it says after a very short time: "Access denied. Authentication that can continue: publickey,keyboard-interactive". When I connect using SSH with the same username and pasword and as the same user, there is no problem to connect. I've also tried Pyhoca-GUI. That worked without problems too. Can somebody explain me what's the underlaying difference? Maybe some different library is used for DNS or something like that? When I try it with x2goclient using a wrong password, there is nothing in the /var/log/auth.log on the not-working-host. When I connect to another customer with x2goclient, there is no problem.
