Hi all, Dick Kniep from the Lindix company in the Netherlands has sponsored the backporting of X2go server-side packages to Debian lenny. As many of you still use lenny on the servers, I persuaded him to make this a contribution to the community. Problems with ssh keys and intermediate ssh hop

Hi (especially Mike :) ), we're currently evaluating x2go on debian squeeze (server) / ubuntu natty (client). Basic functionality works, but some of our users will need access via an intermediate ssh hop. Now if the x2go clients (I tested x2goclient and pyhoca-gui) would honour ~/.ssh/config, I could simply roll out a ProxyCommand line, but so I have to resolve to setting up the relevant tunnels manually. pyhoca claims to have some support for intermediate hops, but I was not able to use it in … [View More]

Mac client printing

Hello, all. We suddenly have a number of Mac client users. We do understand that sound will not work because there is no pulseaudio for Mac. However, printing is not working either. We have gotten it to work in the past by enabling remote access (sshd in effect). However, we have done that on the last three Mac clients and it has not worked. Hello, I am trying to login to a host in my local network, but it does not work. The strange thing is, that I can login with SSH without any problem. Same user, same machine. The server is Debian Lenny, the client Debian Squeeze. Hello, Great, X2go desktop sharing works! You can access the running desktop from somebody else with it! Maybe it works for some time, but I did not know about it... Installed x2goclient on Fedora 15

Hello. I wanted to try Gnome3 with Gnome Shell and couldn't make it work on Debian, so I installed Fedora 15. AFAIK there are no x2go client packages for Fedora, but there are packages for Mandriva. Getting them to install on Fedora wasn't that difficult, I've documented it here: http://wiki.x2go.org/installing_x2goclient_fedora Please note that there is no support - from me or anyone else - on this.
