no session resume

Hello, I'm using the x2goserver (latest version) on a virtual xen machine running an LMDE desktop. The strange behavior is that the x2go sessions are never resumed but whenever I login, a new session is created and all programs have to be started again. The client is a Windows XP PC, and it makes no difference whether I use the windows client or the pyhoca gui to connect. Can anybody tell me what is going wrong here? Regards, Ralph

x2gothinclient: compression and sound

Hi all, I'm trying to (re)migrate our thin clients (Intel Atom 1.6 GHz) from plain X11/XDMCP to x2go again using the latestet Debian Packages (Squeeze). First of all I wonder about the recommended compression mode and level. With link type LAN and compression nopack I experience heavy CPU usage on the (thin) client side (20% Xorg and 30% x2goclient) while reading mails and even more latency than I experienced with plain X11 before. Documentation needed and error

hi there, i want to use x2go on a sles11 and opensuse 11.4 system. I've installed it from repositories but now i need a documentation how to configure x2go. Is there anything ? I get an erro if i try to connect from my client to the server: Verbindung fehlgeschlagen Schreibfehler: /home/username/.x2go/ssh/socaskpassFGIS4V But this file would be randomized created so it won't work to "touch" it. Next file could be named "socaskpassHSDF6K" Foldersettings are 700 Are there some spezial settings for running x2goclient_gtk ? what to do here ? regards sebastian

First thought is: checkout why there is a write error on the given file. (disk full, permissions, is the folder /home/username/.x2go/ssh being created?) Support for extra mouse buttons?

Hello. I have a mouse with 5 buttons (left, right, wheel click, and two thumb buttons) and a scroll wheel on my Windows machine that runs x2goclient v3.99.0.1 under Windows 7 Pro x64, and I use it to connect to a Xubuntu 11.10 x64 machine running x2goserver 3.0.99.7-0~352~oneiric1 from the x2go stable PPA. I noticed that the 3 main buttons and scroll wheel work fine, but the two thumb buttons seem to do nothing. When I use Xubuntu locally on my laptop with a 5-button mouse, the thumb buttons act like the back/forward buttons in Firefox, but they do nothing in Firefox on my headless workstation over x2go. I've noticed that most VNC software on any platform(s) suffers from this as well, while RDP usually supports those extra buttons. Is there a hack that I can employ to get this working, or (even better) could x2go possibly be enhanced to support this by default? Thanks, - Ben S.

Single applications client fail to start up

Hi All, Both on server and client I use deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/x2go/ppa/ubuntu oneiric main Normal full desktops clients running fine but all single applications fail to run. The connection is build up but the client window will not show up. Pyhoca-gui always fail to start the window both desktops and single applications (the connection builds up and is running) What can be the problem? looking at my previous mentioned problem, is the oneiric version running OK? for people at all? or is it my instalation? I have a problem in sharing a client directory to the server instance, mounting fails both on server and client I use deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/x2go/ppa/ubuntu oneiric main openssh 1:5.8p1-7ubuntu1 (Dis)Connection to the server is going fine (not always) but when I share a local directory the remote desktop is working but the mount always fails mentioned in the syslog. x2go Mac Client: cannot connect to multiple servers at the same time

Hi, with the standard Mac OSX client, I find that it does not allow opening more than one connection (to multiple servers) at the same time.
