Mike,
thanks for the quick reply. I did that, and upgraded all the x2go packages
including x2goagent. Now I have these packages on the server:

Unfortunately the problem is still the same, error log on the client still
the same, and server's error log is now:

Note the new nxagent version reflected in the server log.
Any other ideas are welcome. I can do some tcpdumps if it helps, but not
sure if we can see much due to the SSH...

Hello,
I have been using freenx for a few years, and have been looking for
something better since freenx is no longer maintained and sound support is
shaky. I was very glad to find the x2go project, specially since it works
exactly like I imagine with diskless thin clients (I have to use USB sticks
to boot my current clients for freenx).
Anyway, after being somewhat confused by the outdated info and repositories
listed on x2go.org, I found the wiki and was able to install x2goserver
(onto Ubuntu ) and configure a PXE thin client environment. To my
surprise, the thin clients booted on the first attempt and x2goclient came
up, which was very unexpected!
Now I have the following problem:
- I can login without problem from a windows x2goclient onto my ubuntu
x2goserver
- however any attempt to login from the pxe booted thin clients fails.
The client displays (after starting nxproxy 3.5)
Connecting to remote host 'localhost:33001'
And then
Connection timeout aborting
On the server I find these logs:
/usr/bin/x2goagent: line 1: -e: command not found
NXAGENT - Version 3.4.0

Session: Session aborted at 'Fri Dec 16 22:12:15 2011'.
I understand that there is some kind of callback procedure whereby the
client connects to the server, and then the server connects back to the
client, and this seems to be failing. I do not know how else to proceed.
In addition to version 3.99.0.2 of x2goclient and x2goplugin (which was the
one installed by default in the chroot environment), I also tried version
3.99.0.3 from the unstable repository, and an older 3.01-21, all with no
luck.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Jean
Hi x2go folks,
when trying to access my local x2go server using connection type LAN,
the connection is refused/gets lost during the startup. It works when
setting the connection type is set to WAN or ADSL.
The console output of x2goclient is attached.
Any hints are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mike,
Is http://x2go.obviously-nice.de/deb/windows/ the place to watch for a
3.99.0.2 Windows binary release?
Also, is there a reason that the download page on x2go.org still links to
the now-ancient releases at http://download.berlios.de/x2go/ ?
Thanks,
- Ben S.

Hi, i've installed x2go on a SLES11 from this source:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/RemoteDesktop:/x2go/SLE_11/
I've started the server with /etc/init.d/x2goserver start
and try to connect with my client (QT) but i get this message:
"Authentication failed" - "Access denied. Authentication that can
continue: publickey,keyboard-interactive"
I can ssh to this server and this works.
Is there any configuration file, where a could setup some settings ?
Is there a configuration file ?
Regards Sebastian
Hello,
Great that it seems to be clear now why sometimes session are lost.
I've upgraded to the latest version of X2go, but after the upgrade I
cannot login anymore. I've removed x2go completely with a --purge and
reinstalled it again. But it's not possible to login, hmmm.
In /etc/group there is no group "x2gousers" anymore. Maybe I don't know
how to add a user, but I don't find documentation about how to add a
user on the wiki.
With regards,
Paul van der Vlis.

Greetings,
I'm trying to get x2go to print to the x2goclient's printer. I have Ubuntu 10.04 on my server, I'm hooked into the PPA's: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/x2go/ppa/ubuntu lucid main
I've followed the instructions on the wiki: http://wiki.x2go.org/wiki:components:printing
I have these installed:
cups-x2go: 3.0.0.4
x2goserver: 3.0.99.8
x2goserver-extensions: 3.0.99.8
x2goserver-printing: 3.0.99.8
My cups localhost:631 page says it's version 1.4.3
I have the "Generic X2Go Printer" device installed in my print queue. I have not edited my /etc/cups/cups-x2go.conf file.
I have Ubuntu 11.04 on my client machine, it has x2goclient 3.99.0.2 (Qt - 4.7.2) (hooked into the PPA's at the same place as the server but for natty - deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/x2go/ppa/ubuntu natty main)
I'm wondering how do I troubleshoot printing issues? When I do print, it seems to send it looks like it sent fine from the server, but the client doesn't do anything.
So far, it looks like I've had to install 'xpdf' which wasn't mentioned on the wiki.. but I don't know if this is for sure, because it didn't resolve any problems, but before this I would get an error message saying 'xpdf' was missing.
Otherwise, I can print fine to the printer locally.
If you need more information let me know.
Thanks,
Andy
Ah... I found the problem... please ignore my request!
x2goclient settings -> printing tab -> select "Print"
Looks like xpdf still doesn't come up but that is another concern and I will not bother the list about this.
Thank you and sorry.

Hi all,
just a short notice on our mailing list hoster BerliOS...
It very much looks like it that the BerliOS OSS development portal
(www.berlios.de) will be continued beyond Dec 2011.
The logistical and monetary infrastructure behind the BerliOS portal
is currently moved from a research project to an NGO organizational
form and from my perspective the chances are rather high that in the
future the X2Go mailing list hosting on the BerliOS mail server(s) can
also be continued.
If this turns out to be different we will let you know ASAP,
currently, however, no action (mailing list migration) seems to be
necessary.
We'll keep you posted!!!
