Pulseaudio doesn't start on Win7

Hello list, greetings! I have the following setup runing: A docker-container providing a rudimental desktop (fluxbox on debian) A Win7PC which gets the desktop using x2Go. All is working as expected but the pulseaudio server on the win7-client doesn't start automatically. If I use an external pulseaudio.exe with an lightly modified default.pa the pulseaudio-sever starts. After that "trick" I have to edit .pulse-client.conf in my docker-container for sending audio to my win7-pulseserver and it will work. The drawback is: I cannot use the ssh-tunnel from x2go for the audio ... it is not established cause of the missing port of the not startet "internal" pulseserver. Is there a chance to give an modified default.pa to the "internal" pulseaudio-server of the x2go-client or even better: is it possible to use an "external" pulseaudio.exe with the x2go-client? The next "problem" for an automated workaround (starting pulseaudio with script prior to the x2go-client) is, that the x2go-client seems to use port 4714 for untunneled connections. Does someone now the parameter for changing the pulseaudio-serverport from 4713 to 4714 for the pulse-audio-windows-version 1.1? This is the most "dirty" hack ... but should do the work in this case. The other way round is of course although possible: change the port the x2go-client expects his "internal" server. This way the .pulse-client.conf in the docker-desktop would be build correct for this szenario. Maye someone point me the direction? Windows 8.1 - shortcuts being caught by windows

Hello, I'm brand new to using x2go today. I'm connecting from Windows 8.1 to Ubuntu 14.04 and using the openbox session. Whenever I hit the windows key, the start menu in Windows pops up. It seems that my remote session is not receiving the key or Windows is getting it first. I tried the following settings for the X-Server written in a blog post: -rootless -notrayicon -clipboard -keyhook Using keyhook would supposedly send all keystrokes to the sesssion unless the mouse was outside the session window. That doesn't seem to help at all. Any suggestions for what to try? Thanks, Glen

Developing X2GO For Openthinclient.

Hi Dears, I'm developing X2GO client to run it on my OTC clients and as a condition to do that the X2GO package should be installed to a specific directory to make it portable which mean that all the dependences that the package needs must be installed on that directory. i tried to install it using the apt-get command but it asks for dependances then i tried the source code but i failed to compile it so any suggestions please on how to do that and i will be thankful to u... thanks in advance.

Hello X2Go users I have been having various problems lately. I tried with both Mate and LXDE destops for my remote sessions but know lucks. Any help is much appreciated. Sound Issues (One Client)

Hi All: I am having trouble with x2go audio on a windows client (win pro 32 bit; x2go 4.0.2.1, though have tried 3.1 as well; x2go server is on Wheezy with Mate). Initially, I thought an upgrade server side was the problem but I can get the sound to work on two other windows clients connected to the same server (same ssh etc), so I'm inclined at the moment to think it's this particular client machine. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling x2go and copying the .pulse-cookie from a working machine into various folders on the problem one without success. FYI can open the sound control to make sure the levels are up, and see on the working machines that it finds a sound card but doesn't do so on the problem client. Any suggestions? Is this the pulse audio bug I've read about on the net? Am wondering too if this could be some sort of driver issue on the laptop in question, though the sound works on the native OS (as opposed to the x2go connection). I use x2go a lot, so I figure this is worth figuring out as having run into it once, it may happen again. Thanks!
