Thin(ish) terminal without PXE

I am trying to set up a "Thin" terminal on an old T23 ThinkPad laptop, but I'm not looking to set up a PXE server for it to boot off of. Instead I have installed a basic copy of Debian on it (used LXDE just to see that the graphics would work), and have set up x2gothinclient as the "display manager" (ratherthan the default lightdm). The problem I've seen thus far is there is no way to define a x2go login profile, which I would need to even use it at all. The "example" profiles on the login screen cannot be edited, and they don't go anyplace (at least no place in MY home network). There also isn't anyplace on the login screen to add new ones (the way you would if you brought up the x2client on a regular desktop session).

x2go Client not connecting. Where to get more info?

Hi, I am trying to connect a Windows 7 machine to a Mint/Cinnamon server with desktop sharing enabled. I see the ssh connection apparently successful from auth.log: Nov 11 17:57:42 myPC sshd[31369]: Accepted keyboard-interactive/pam for myUser from 10.0.0.5 port 49481 ssh2 Nov 11 17:57:42 myPC sshd[31369]: pam_unix(sshd:session): session opened for user sms1\dcostantini by (uid=0) If I try a wrong password it fails, so up to SSH all seems ok. But the client shows nothing, it is greyed out (but seems not frozen) and I can only close the window. Is there some log on the client? Maybe I can find the blocker there and report for more help. I read that Cinnamon was an issue but it should be working now, right? Thanks, Diego

x2go client and numeric pad

Hi, We have problems with x2go and numeric pad. The keys in numeric pad seem to work in random manner, some of them display digits, some are blank, some work like arrow keys. Server: Mint 17, native X2Go client. We have tested both Autodetect and Configured keyboards: pc105 fi pc105 et pc105 de by using WinXP; Win 8.1; Win7 and Mint 17 X2Go clients. pc105 + us works until nobody touch "Num-Lock" button. Press it twice (off & on again) and after that randomly some numbers are ok some not, even same button gives random results. Should I use another Keyboard layout? Is somewhere a list about alternatives? Robert

Hi all, the VM host that code.x2go.org (aka git, packages, lists, bugs, etc.) runs on requires (again) the replacement of a hard drive. The machine will go down for maintenance soon and will come back ASAP. Unable to execute: Startkde Error message on X2go window client

Hiiiii everyone, While testing the connection from my windows 7 to the X2go server installed on Debian i'm receiving an error message saying " Unable to execute:Startkde " so any ideas how to solve this issue please.... Best Regards.

*Server: Debian "Jessie" X2Go Server: 4.0.1.18-0x2go1+git20141006.949+wheezy.main.1 Client: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit X2Go Client: 4.0.3.0 (Qt - 4.8.6)* Hi, I am using X2Go to access a headless Debian (Jessie) machine from Windows 7. My Windows machine has 3 screens. What I want to do is dedicate one screen to the X2Go session to the server, but still be able to use the other 2 screens on the client. Currently X2Go lets me choose either- 1. Windowed mode, where the cursor can move in or out of the X2Go window 2. Fullscreen mode, where X2Go captures the cursor What I want is a 3rd mode- * Dedicate one client screen to X2Go, but allow the (client, Windows) cursor to move in or out of the X2Go window Is this possible? Hi all I think there's an error in the wiki on page http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:repositories:ubuntu The ubuntu 14.04 command sudoapt-get installpython-software-common didn't work and should be sudo apt-get install software-properties-common Thanks for all the work Christian
