Keyboard issue

Hi ! My x2gobroker installation works very. Just a little problem : AltGr doesn't work (nightly build) I run a x2goserver with xubuntu 14.04 LTS 64 bits If i connect x2gocient directly to x2goserver, no keyboard issue, everything works : € | ... Then i try to test a connexion trough a broker. To start a desktop session I must have two parameters : * command=startxfce4 * type=Custom desktop But then, AltGr doesn't work. If I add this, the issue comes again * layout=fr * model=pc105/fr or pc105 If type=auto, then AltGr works ! Kerberos and X@Go Mac Client

I’m having trouble with Kerberos authentication with a Mac client. I am using x2goclient-4.0.4.0-preview2 on a Mac running OS X 10.9.5, connecting to Ubuntu 14.0.4 running x2goserver-4.0.1.19. Here are the symptoms: 1) Connecting with kerberos and ssh works fine. I run kinit to get my tgt, and then ssh works without prompting for any sort of authentication. 2) When I tell X2Go to authenticate using kerberos, it connects without apparent error, but my keyboard mapping is bizarre (and pretty much useless). 3) When I tell X2Go to use the default authentication, it waits for some time (maybe 30 sec or 1 min), and pops up a dialog box, asking for a passphrase to decrypt a key. Whether I click OK or cancel, it then pops up a new dialog box, with the following text: "Received SSH_MSG_DISCONNECT: 2:Too many authentication failures for dritch Invalid state in ssh_userauth_kbdint” 4) When I configure an ssh key pair for passwordless login, and configure the X2Go client to use default user authentication, all works fine. 5) Before, when I used the 4.0.3.2 release client, it had very similar behavior. However, in that case, when connecting using kerberos authentication, it also popped up a dialog box with an scp error message. Am I doing something wrong? How can I make this work? Thanks! David

Unity, Alt+Tab and Alt+`

Hello, list! I use x2go client 4.0.1.1 (Qt 4.8.6) and x2go server 4.0.1.19 with unity (ubuntu 12.04) on my server machine and twm on client one. Alt+Tab works perfectly except that it shows all windows icons but not one icon of each type. Alt+` (switching between windows of the same kind) allows only switching to next or previous sibling, switching to any another using e.g. Alt+`+`+` simply closes the switching dialog. Is this a bug, and is there a way to fix it by some kind of workaround? Regards, Alexey Bashtanov

debian testing repo throws error

Hi, I just tried to add the debian repo for my testing system as per the instructions <http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:repositories:debian#adding_this_reposito…>. I replace 'jessie' in the template with 'testing' but on apt-get update, I get the following error message: W: Conflicting distribution: http://packages.x2go.org testing InRelease (expected testing but got stretch) Stretch is the current testing name. Testing seems to be available here <http://packages.x2go.org/debian/dists/>, so I don't know what's causing this. Changing the dist name to stretch fixes the issue - however this will require changes to the sources.d file once the dist name changes in the future (not a big deal but still weird). Just wanted to let you know and would be interested in suggestions. Best, Sebastian

Japsand Maintenance Aftermath a.k.a. "Lessons Learned"

Hi Due to a hanging rm process, we had to restart the server today. After rebooting the machine, it was decided to also update the system to the latest packages version, but still staying on Debian Wheezy (for now.) The server is using a custom kernel module provided by Realtek for its RTL8168 ethernet NIC. An in-kernel driver is available, but proved to be too unreliable, leading to frequent network outages and even machine crashes whenever the network IO load was higher than a few hundred KB/s. The hosting provider has a wiki entry for this issue at this location: http://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/Installation_des_r8168-Treibers/en Unfortunately, the current driver version as provided by Realtek, 8.040, seems to be incompatible with the old 3.2.0-4-amd64 (3.2.68-1+deb7u2) kernel provided by Debian. As of writing this, I do not know what happened exactly, but most likely the module caused a kernel panic during bootup. Reverting to an older version, 8.037, fixed this issue and let the server boot up correctly again. For future maintenance work, please use this older version, at least on Debian Wheezy. I put the module source code into /usr/src and created a symlink from /usr/src/r8168-current to /usr/src/r8168-8.037.00. --- Other updated packages include Java (version 7 co-installed, the "alternatives" symlink now point to version 7 instead of 6) and Jenkins, including its plugins. A test build run suggests the Jenkins update was successful. Mihai

I can't find x2godesktopsharing

I am running Mint 17 (Ubuntu 14.04 derivative) and installed sudo add-apt-repository ppa:x2go/stable and per instructions: sudo aptitude install x2godeskstopsharing Couldn't find any package whose name or description matched "x2godeskstopsharing" So I downloaded http://code.x2go.org/releases/source/x2goserver/x2goserver-4.0.1.19.tar.gz and I don't find a trace of x2godeskstopsharing in the source code. What am I missing? Thanks, Jim.

x2goclient on xubuntu 14.10 mini pc with arm processor , menus and icons not displayed

I have installed x2goclient V 4.0.2.1(Qt - 4.8.6) with os xubuntu 14.10 and used x2goclient to logon to a linux server with Fedora linux v 22. I am able to logon without problems, but the top menu is not displayed. I am just able to see the background picture. I am further not able to for example rightclick the mouse to display menu. Xubuntu installed on a cloudsto mk902 mini pc with CPU - Rockchip RK3188 Quad Core (Cortex A9 Quad Core upto 1.6GHz) cpu. I am however able to workaround the problem by first starting an x2goclient session from for example a windows platform or from a memory stick with the ubuntu os, and then just close the session without logout clicking x in the top right corner of the screen. Resuming this session from the xubuntu mini pc, I do get the menu displayed correctly even though the colors get a little distorted. I have compared processes running starting a session from the xubuntu pc with no menu displayed as compared to a session in which the menu is displayed correctly, and it seems like processes have not been started when no menu is displayed, for example the following processes: xfwm4 /usr/lib64/xfce4/panel/wrapper /usr/lib64/xfce4/panel/plugins/libactions.so 2 14680095 actions Handlingknapper Logg ut, lås eller andre systemvalg /usr/lib64/xfce4/panel/wrapper /usr/lib64/xfce4/panel/plugins/libsystray.so 6 14680097 systray Systemkurv Område som viser beskjedikoner Any ideas as to what is causing this problem and a solution to problem?
