Problem Running Wireshark on Ubuntu 16.04.1 x2go Server

Hi, When I try to run wireshark within an x2go session I get this error: *failed to get the current screen resourcesThe X11 connection broke: I/O error (code 1)XIO: fatal IO error 2 (No such file or directory) on X server ":50.0" after 383 requests (383 known processed) with 0 events remaining.* I can run Wireshark directly on the console or remotely using ssh forwarding, but not under x2go. I have tried this both under xfce and lxde servers, using the OSX client. Any ideas what I can do to make wireshark work in x2go? Thanks, Mike

Hi, Sorry to came here and to post immediately, but since a long time I stuck on print feature. I'm coming from this page : http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:installation:printing So on the server side, I'm here : - all needed packages are installed - printer installed like show below from my printers.conf : <Printer Virtual_X2Go_Printer> UUID urn:uuid:639ac42a-5341-3075-78ff-4f442068609e Info Virtual X2Go Printer Location MakeModel Generic CUPS-X2Go Printer DeviceURI cups-x2go:/ State Idle StateTime 1480012787 Type 8450124 Accepting Yes Shared No JobSheets none none QuotaPeriod 0 PageLimit 0 KLimit 0 OpPolicy default ErrorPolicy abort-job </Printer> Now... I'm completely lost for the client side : I don't understand what should I do next. I try to install locally cups-x2go, configure printer like on the server and print on it, nothing happend and I dont know if is the good way to use my local printer. I search a lot - for sure I miss something somewhere / maybe I'm completely ass :-( Any start will be very helpfull, what do you think ? Justin

On the t620 my mass storage is mounted on /tmp/tmpfs/media/SomeUsbStick and I access it with the user who launch the x2goclient. When the session openned I see on the server : * the time to open session is longer with the export directive * the media directory appears is home directory * the media contained disk/_tmp_tmpfs_media directory * When I list _tmp_tmpfs_media i have "permission denied" * the mount command let me see (but brievely) a line like user(a)127.0.0.1 ... * the trash disappear So what can I do to access to my USB mass storage stick ? Num Lock key in windows agent

Hi all. First of all, I'd like to congratulate all the contributors for this great work. X2go is a professional class tool for remote desktop. However... I ran into a really special thing using the windows agent in its last version (4.0.5). Sometimes, when you open the session, the "Num Lock" is usable, sometimes not. I mean, sometimes you may push the caps lock button and switch from arrows to Numeric keys, and sometimes the Key Pad is fully unusable. It happens only on windows agent as far as I know. Smartcard forwarding

Hi all, Does anyone around here knows if smartcard (PKI, not gpg) forwarding works with x2go ? It is something available within Citrix, a product I would rather avoid for a number of reasons. x2goclient session icons not working

Hello, I have upgraded to 4.0.4.0 on win32. It's a minor thing but if I now set a session icon for a connection it is not displayed and I get blank instead. Is there something I need to do to get this to work? Thanks Will

remote development environment

Hi, I have no experience with x2go but it seems to be a good fit to implement a remote development environment. Does anyone here have experience with such a setup? (Read below for more details) I need to set up a remote development environment to be used by multiple employees of a company. The goal is to let employees work in their prefered environment. As users might need to have root access, I might go with one vm per user. That would effectively move the desktop system of the user to the 'cloud', which would be access through x2go. That way every dev can use the editor (s)he wants, compile on its vm, install packages, etc... Would that be a workable approach? Which attention points would you highlight? If anyone has experience with this kind of setups, I'm very interested in getting your advices and opinions! Thanks in advance rb
