installation woes

Greetings I was able to setup x2go server on a couple machines about 8 months or so ago and have found the 'system' to be a very valuable tool (it cuts down on the need for more monitors and other peripherals). Just recently I have be working on installing x2go on a different system than previously and I am running into some problems. I have been following : https://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:installation:x2goserver and https://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:repositories:debian The first issue that I am having is that I am unable to add the repository keys. After typing in the command (checked and rechecked a number of times for accuracy) I keep getting the following as a response: $ gpg: keyserver receive failed: No data I have tried using search engines to find some method of resolving this difficulty but I cannot find anything that would fit this circumstance. Please, how do I affect the installation of the site key? Regards Dee

Couple of notes here, I installed x2go server on Zorin. Zorin is yet another Ubuntu derivative with a hopelessly broken Gnome and KDE implementation. I am using Mate or LXDE both of which do work. The Nightly Build connects then immediately disconnects. The Stable works mostly okay. Forcing connection speed setting based upon IP address

Hi, I have a central LAN, where the X2Go server and many clients live, and several branch offices which connect via the WAN. I used to be able to modify the FreeNX 'nxacl' script to force 'LAN' for local clients, and 'ADSL' for everyone else. Last I looked, there was no such facility in the X2Go server, and the team had posted good reasons (which I can't quite recall) why that file was not coming back. But does X2Go server have a way for me to accomplish what I want? I still find the occasional misconfigured client. Thanks, Steve Bergman

Large latency when opening a new session

Dear X2go-users, for almost 2 years we are using X2GO with VirtualGL to provides visualization tool on our computing facility and it is very efficient tool. However, we are facing a problem with our current setup that seems related to the number of users connected. We have a machine built on a Dell R730 server (40 cores, 512 GB, Quadro P2000) installed on Centos 7. X2go is installed from EPEL repository, in version 4.0.1.22 For about one month, establishing the connection is very slow. As you can see in the log file below, it waits two minutes before to start a first session (lpouillo-1103-1526465870_stDXFCE_dp24) that does not seem to work then create a second one about 10 minutes later(C-lpouillo-1159-1527588238_stDXFCE_dp24) This error seems correlated with the number of active users, including pts (when it is > 80) but I don't see any limits (max pty, max open files, or in x2goserver.conf which is the one by default) that is reached. Do you have any idea on how to diagnose/solve the problem ? Tell me if you need more information. Numeric Keyboard no response sometimes

Hi, I´m having problems with the Num Lock function of keyboard, on clients x2go windows & linux, when the session start on client x2go the Num Lock function of keyboard no activate and the numeric keyboard no response sometimes. (Auto) grab keyboard using Windows client and Linux server

I am looking for an option to enable/disable or on mouse click have the X2go windows client grab the keyboard so that all further keystrokes including Alt - Tab combinations would be responded by the remote server. Noticed an issue ((Auto) grab keyboard · Issue #384 · ArcticaProject/nx-libs) logged for this issue that seems to have the fixes committed in Aug 2017. Unable to find any configuration to enable this in the latest X2go client (v 4.1.1.1) downloaded from download:start [X2Go - everywhere@home] Any ideas? Any one got this working?

Compile and Run X2Go Server in OpenIndiana / FreeBSD

So, it's a known issue, that eventually will be solved. Thank you for the clarification. Worked around it by disabling drkonqi (export KDE_DEBUG=1 within a kde_debu.sh file, whithin /etc/profile.d/) Thank you all.
