X2goclient: Bringing up NX3 proxy failed.

Hi, my x2goclient stopped working a day ago and I cannot get it to connect to my x2goserver. X2goclient on Windows works, so it must be a Linux client problem. I removed and reinstalled the client, tried it as another user, purged config, all to no avail. When using x2goclient, X2Go client V. 4.0.1.0 (Qt - 4.8.2) on server: 4.0.1.6-0~x2go1+wheezy~main~712~build1 I get this message: Can't load translator (:/x2goclient_en_us) ! Can't load translator :/qt_en_US Connection timeout, abortingInfo: Aborting the procedure due to signal '15'. Session: Session terminated at 'Thu Aug 15 17:13:47 2013'. and a question box if I want to terminate the session. when using pyhoca-gui --libdebug I get this output: (failed to start NX3 proxy, but no Missing Dependencies while installing on RHEL5

Greetings, I'm trying to install on 32 & 64 bit RHEL5. I've downloaded the RHEL5 repository file but when I try to install x2goserver, I get a dependency conflict on perl(Sys::Syslog). Apparently I do have a version of the perl module installed that's insufficient. When I try to install an upgraded version, I get a package conflict with Perl itself. Has anyone seen this? More importantly, has anyone found a work around? Thanks! -Kermit Short

Xwin start failure: unsafe environment error

Hello, I am running 3.99.2.1 on Win-7 64 bit, accessing a Linux desktop locally. Worked fine for a while although I some time got an error which is not persistent: when connecting to the session I get: Xserver aborted due to an unsafe environment. Win was started with the following command line: (null). A quick google of the error brings me to the parsing the args of the x-server. Is the x-server being started with a wrong command line ? Is this an x2go issue or xwin ? If any one can tell me how to collect more info, much appreciated. Thanks Gertjan

Mac OS X client and ssh-agent?

Are others seeing the behavior I am? I have an open x2go session running and leave my computer for a while. When I return, the session has timed out and I get the dialog asking if I want to close it. But, when I close it and try to re-open a new session, it fails to connect. Only after I go to a terminal shell and kill the ssh-agent process does it re-connect. I am using password authentication, and it works fine after stopping ssh-agent. Is there some setting I have wrong?

Hey Roland, I'm sorry but I'm quite busy right now. Following things to try: Kill all sessions on your server. Use the root command to list all users sessions with: sudo x2golistsessions_root Delete all involved users .Xauthority files. If you've got hanging sessions left, manually execute x2goterminatesessions with the ID. Make the x2goserver logging level to debug in /etc/x2go/x2xgoserver.conf Reboot the machine. Then open a new Master Session -> KDE or xterm, whatever.. Use the root command again to make sure it's known by the x2goserver. Then start the Shadow Session to the Master Session. I received the following error message while attempting to connect: Connection failed sh: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected x2go had been working correctly. I assume that some shell script got corrupted. Does anyone know what shells script get calls when x2go connects? The error appears in a popup window in the x2go client. thanks PS my configuration is Server: Debian wheezy xfce4 x2goserver 4.0.1.3-0 Client: OS X 10.7.5 MacPorts x2goclient.app 4.0.1.0
