Looks like the tab key cycles focus among open windows of a given application (e.g., multiple terminals). Pressing ctrl-tab gives the correct filename-completion behavior. Everything works fine when I connect from a Windows X2Go client. I've had keyboard mapping issues with the OS X client previously, so my guess would be that the problem is with it. I'm running X2Go Client V. 4.0.1.3 on OS X 10.9.1 and connecting to X2Go Server on Ubuntu 13.10 that reports as: x2goagent: 3.5.0.22 x2goserver: 4.0.1.13 x2goserver-extensions: 4.0.1.13 The problem is that the tab key on my Mac doesn't generate a tab character in the X2Go session. It doesn't perform filename completion in bash or emacs or a tab function in text editors. In bash, the cursor does become hollow when the tab key is pressed. I can get filename completion in bash by hitting esc three times. Needing three presses seems odd—it's usually two. Any suggestions on restoring functionality in tab? —Andreas

Recovering uncooperative sessions

Fellow x2go users, I have opened a session, worked in the session some, then suspended it. Today (a day later) I tried to open the session same from a different client but can not get the session to resume. Is there any hope to get this recovered or is it a lost cause? x2go segmentation fault

Hi there, we started to use x2go via ssh proxying. >From there on we experience segmentation faults. In the syslog excerpt below you can see that it starts with the segfault. The last line with the pulse audio is repeated hundreds of times. Server: Kubuntu 12.10 amd64, version 4.0.1.13-0~814~ubuntu12.10.1 Client: Windows 7 Professional SP1 - 64bit, X2GoClient V. 4.0.1.3 (Qt - 4.8.5) After the crash there is a stale session. Any clue what reason it could be? Unity Greeter with X2Go Remote Login Support

Hello everyone... After testing and beta-deploying X2Go services for some test users (developers/qa/it - who really liked it), i was trying to implement the x2go-broker into lightdm. I followed the steps in http://blog.x2go.org/index.php/2013/04/28/289/. First of all, "get-build-deps debian/control" seems to be replaced by "mk-build-deps debian/control" ... After compiling, installing and configuring i see the additional login in lightdm. Our Active Directory enabled (using likewise-open -> pam) broker delivers https://x2go-broker.our.domain.com/uccs/inifile/api/4 , asks for user/password and prints the json-object containing all configured servers. When lightdm starts, i can see some traffic between the machine and the broker. Logging in seems not to work, i've tested "test.account@intern", "test.account(a)our.domain.com" and even a local test user (on the broker, right?) There is no communication between the broker and lightdm/unity-greeter when trying to login. How can i help you further? (debugging,..) As this is a relly nice and seemless solution for our clients, i think we cann afford some sponsoring there too. regards Stefan

On re-connect, I always get this error dialog: Connection failed Can not create remote file ~nbecker/.x2go/ssh/key.ZT7339 - scp status code 1d not valid But everything seems to be working

sshfs through broker

I'm just trying to adjust the x2go-setup to our needs... When i'm directly connected to one of my x2go-servers, the sshfs-tunnel works perfect. Pasting the config lines to the broker config file, i see a sshfs process running (server side), the server appears in /var/log/auth.log (client side), no error in mounts.log but no mounted folder appears.

connecting to same session via different networks

I routinely run a session that I connect to via one network address during the work day, and then connect via a different address from home. I setup 2 sessions on the client side. They have the same 'name', but different network addresses. This all seems to work perfectly. I'm just wondering how it works. Do I get the same session because I gave them the same name? Can I setup multiple different sessions by giving them different names?

Have I found a bug or does X2Go Client win32 require 3D acceleration?

I was however able to start a new session to a different x2goserver: http://i.imgur.com/SVJzbg0.png The x2goclient is running on a windows 7 SP1 32-bit VM (with all available "recommended" and "important" windows updates, but not the 3 "optional" updates) hosted on Fedora 20 64-bit's Virt-Manager. I am connecting to the Windows 7 VM via-virt-viewer 0.6.0 with SPICE and 32-bit color. Whether you're using virt-viewer over the network or you're accessing the VM directly on the host through virt-manager, there is no support for 3D acceleration currently. Start up constrained to local screen size (above task bar) possible?

Is there any way to make an x2go client (windows in particular) start at a size that fits on the local screen above the task bar even if connecting to a running session that was started at a larger size - and then resize the remote desktop to fit? I'd like to be able to start sessions from a desktop PC and be able to pick them up and continue easily on a smaller laptop. Having the bottom left corner of the window always appear where I can see it (and reach with the mouse if subsequent resizing is needed) would save a lot of contortions. -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell(a)gmail.com
