X2GO-TCE Grey area at the right side of the login-screen

Hi, when booting the x2go-TCE i always have a grey area at the right side of the screen where the original Sessions included in TCE where listed. How do i get rid of that? Thanks in advance! Mike, I appreciate your response. I found out about the x2go session broker after I sent my previous email and was wondering if that was the piece I was missing. The only information I could find on it was this page http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:installation:x2gobroker and it only seems to have install instructions for Debian based linux distro's. We are on RH/CentOS and I searched for the x2go session broker package's with no luck. Does anyone know if there is plan's for a RH/CentOS release? Postgres backend for X2GO

All, My employer is thinking about using x2go as our thin client solution. I am trying to get the postgres backend setup. I have the database up and have added some user's however I am not able to migrate my session between 2 node's. Is this what the postgres backend is for or am I misunderstanding it's use? Fedora libssh Problem (100% cpu)

100% reproducible. With the latest libssh f20 update, x2go uses 100% cpu (on 2 cpus) Update to libssh.x86_64 0:0.6.0-1.fc20 I get an error message (as I showed) on connect, and 100% cpu Downgrade to libssh-0.5.5-1.fc20.x86_64 Problem gone

x2go client using 100% cpu!

I was a happy x2go user up until just now. I ran a yum update, perhaps related. Now ever time I connect, x2go client uses 100% cpu (actually, 100% of 2 cpus) Perhaps related, I always get an error message, a picture is attached. I tried rm -rf ~/.x2go on the server, to make sure I'm getting a clean start

I think the x2go proxy can do that. Mike Gabriel and others could give you a definite answer. Stefan Baur's instructions for using SSH forwarding via the command line will work. Just note that in the SSH server settings, you will need to enable TCP forwarding if it is not enabled by default. The settings are usually in /etc/ssh/sshd_config . I think that you can also use x2go client's built in feature to use a "proxy server". I think this feature is just SSH forwarding. Ultimately, which way of doing SSH forwarding is your preference. To use the x2go client's built in feature: 1. In x2go client, define a session for each x2go server host your ultimately want to connect to. The host should be the hostname or the IP address of the x2go server host 2. Under the preferences for each session, enable "Use Proxy server for SSH connection". Then enter the vpn client box's hostname or IP address as the "host" of the proxy server. The "type" of proxy server should set to "SSH". And of course, you can use x2go to connect to this headless box. I recommend you install the full desktop environment you intend to use, but disable X from starting automatically. How to do this varies from distro to distro. For example, on Red Hat and Fedora, you would make the default runlevel 3 instead of 5. Keyboard problem with Del key in XFCE

Hi, I am trying to debug a strange problem with the keyboard in a x2go session to a server using XFCE and OpenSuse 13.1. The session works fine but the "Del" key does not work. These were the steps I followed: - Initially the "Del" key behaved like the print screen key and there were other keys behaving oddly like Insert key or cursor keys that did not work - Changing x2goclient session preferences from current preferences to keyboard map "es" and model to "pc105/es" did not do produce any change - Modifying XFCE keyboard configuration and specifying the keyboard model as "Generic 105 key (Intl) PC" in the advanced options makes the cursor keys work and "Del" stops behaving like print screen. I have checked session.log and the only error I see is: nxagentXkbGetRules: WARNING! Failed to stat file [/usr/local/lib/nx/X11/xkb/rules/xorg]: Unknown error -1. In fact this warning appears also in other server I have running Scientific Linux 6.4 and Gnome where keyboard works correctly. Running xev I see "Del" key is not recognized as a KeyPress event but as a series of FocusOut, FocusIn and KeymapNotify events: FocusOut event, serial 36, synthetic NO, window 0x2e00001, mode NotifyGrab, detail NotifyAncestor FocusIn event, serial 36, synthetic NO, window 0x2e00001, mode NotifyUngrab, detail NotifyAncestor KeymapNotify event, serial 36, synthetic NO, window 0x0, keys: 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 I would really appreciate any hint about how to continue debugging the problem. Chaining of x2go via 2 sessions, proxy? What is best solution?

Hi, I have a small box with linux on it as VPN box. This box is headless. So it will be accessed from another computer in the lan. But this box will be used to access the company systems. So the question is, what would be the best solution? 1. x2go to the box and x2go from there to the systems? 2. Install a proxy or the like (do not know if this exists) on the box and connect from 1 x2go client routed via the box? Is probably an ssh forward enough? Thanks and cheers, Matt

Automatic scaling of full screen sessions no longer works

Hello, one of the big advantages of x2go over Nomachine's NX was that scaling of full screen sessions between clients with different screen sizes just worked out of the box. I have recently upgraded to 4.0.1.11, and now this doesn't work anymore, so when I create a session on a desktop with a large screen, then resume it from a laptop with a smaller screen, in full screen mode, I only see part of my screen, which is unusable. I found this information: http://bugs.x2go.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=2;bug=96 Uncommented the line in /etc/x2go/x2goagent.options, reboot the server and clients just to be sure, and there is no difference. Any other suggestions will be appreciated in order to solve this regression. Jean

CTRL+ALT+T not working in MATE

Hello, I have recently upgraded my Ubuntu installation, which is running x2goserver, to 13.10. I used to use GNOME as a window manager, but since 13.10, gnome seems to require 3D acceleration and can no longer be used with x2go, event in fallback mode (anyone, please tell me if you found a way to make gnome work in 13.10). So I installed MATE and upgraded x2goserver to 4.0.1.11 (Unfortunately both at the same time). Since then, the keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + T (which is the only shortcut I am using) is not longer working. After x2goserver upgrade, I have files /etc/nxagent/keystrokes.cfg and /etc/x2go/keystrokes.cfg (which were not there before) and they both contain a definition for CTRL + ALT + T to terminate a session. Not sure what to do next. Is it perhaps a known issue that CTRL+ALT+T does not work in MATE, or perhaps a known issue in the current version of x2goserver? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you! Jean
