link to pyhoca-gui on homepage

Hi, Mike announced the release of the latest pyhoca-gui, I always have to browse around to get the latest. Can someone point the link on the homepage ( http://wiki.x2go.org/ ) where it says "Get X2Go" to the correct (latest) release? I would also advise not to use anything like "PyHoca-GUI_latest_mswin32-setup.exe" because that doesn't give us the version in the filename. (it can get outdated quick) The link could poin to the current "latest": http://code.x2go.org/releases/binary-win32/pyhoca-gui/releases/0.5.0.4-2015… Regards, Kristof.

Building x2goclient from sources

Greetings! I am trying to build the client from source tarballs. Display stopped working??

I’m running X2go on a Mac, and connecting to a VM running Fedora 20. It’s been running for a couple of weeks now without any problems. This morning, I typed in the command “gvim” and got a message that the display wasn’t working – it opened vi in the terminal window instead of popping up a new window. The display is working fine… I tried the command ‘xterm’ and got this: [ncohen@ncohen-dev-fedora bin]$ xterm No protocol specified xterm: Xt error: Can't open display: :51 It was working fine 2 minutes ago – system has not been updated or rebooted. SELinux is installed and in permissive mode. I’m not sure if this is something to do with X2go or with Fedora – I’ve never seen it before. Anyone have any idea what might be going on here? x2goserver ubuntu 14.10

Hi all, I'm fairly new to x2go and I'm using x2goserver on Ubuntu 14.04 (with xfce and mate) and it's working pretty good. (aside from some problems with the client on win8.1) But when using Ubuntu(/Xubuntu) 14.10, it works but the "layout/look-and-feel" is not the same as when I log into the console directly. Also, I get a weird prompt (only when using x2go client) stating "Authenticationis required to change your own user data". I suppose this is due to the login over ssh. (don't get the error on the "console") Any suggestions on how to fix/troubleshoot this? I'd be happy to give more details/logs or test something. I observed the following: If I configure PyHoca-GUI to use my password-protected key file (header below), I get the error: not a valid EC private key file! If I configure PyHoca-GUI to "Discover SSH keys or use SSH agent for X2GO authentication", and then launch Pageant and load my PuTTY-formatted private key into Pageant, I get the error you got: An unknown error occurred during authentication Did you do the latter? It may well be, that the issue is solved in python-x2go 0.5.0.3. But not sure. Please report back what exact exception is thrown. Can I test pyhoca-gui on the WinBuilder machine? Testers Wanted: PyHoca-GUI for Windows 0.5.0.3-20150124

Hello X2Go users, It's been a long time since a stable version of PyHoca-GUI for Windows was released. (.0.4.0.8 was released on 2013-08-27) I have started maintaining PyHoca-GUI for Windows. I managed to build 0.5.0.3 successfully. I am making a build available today, so its version string is 0.5.0.3-20150124 http://code.x2go.org/releases/binary-win32/pyhoca-gui/releases/0.5.0.3-2015… Please test and provide feedback (via either replies or by reporting bugs). Since it is has been so long, I am concerned that there might be Windows-specific regressions. If no new "grave" or "critical" bugs are reported within a few days, I will announce this as a release on x2go-announcements & I will update the link on the X2Go home page. How to fix kex error in x2go client in windows?

Hi, Before my server using ubuntu but now I am switching to centos. But when I connect to server using x2go. I got error message: kex error: no match for method server host key algo: server [ssh-rsa,ssh-dss], client [ecdas-sha2-nistp256]. Have anyway to fix that error?

connection failed DBI

I have a new x2go server setup on a Red Hat 6.3 system. When I try to connect to it I get the following: Connection failed DBI connect('dbname=/home/x2gouser/x2go_sessions','',...) failed: unable to open database file at /usr/lib64/x2go/x2gosqlitewrapper.pl line 89 [limit users] at /usr/lib64/x2go/x2gosqlitewrapper.pl line 89. On the server, I tried to do a x2godbadmin --createdb and I got: Can not find user (x2gouser) So, I added user x2gouser and redid the x2godbadmin. Now I get the error above. I normally run Debian machines and have never had to do the adduser or x2godbadmin that I can remember. What do I need to do to get the x2go server working? Brent
