win32 x2go client not resuming

Hello, I have just setup a new server running debian jessie with x2go server (4.0.1.18-0x2go1+git20141006.949+jessie). I have windows client 4.0.3.2 The first time I connect it all works. However on a subsequent attempt to resume it doesn't work. After entering password the client pops up the connecting dialog never outputs any text even though I have sow details checked. I also get the task bar popup saying it has connected although all options are greyed out. It appears to sit there forever at this point. If I look at the server logs I see: Mar 3 11:42:43 waldorf2 /usr/bin/x2goresume-session: client 172.20.1.8 has successfully resumed session with ID willw-50-1425325134_stDXFCE_dp32 Mar 3 11:43:14 waldorf2 /usr/bin/x2gosetkeyboard: /home/willw/.x2go/C-willw-50-1425325134_stDXFCE_dp32/keyboard did not appear within 30s after agent startup So it appears that the client has got stuck part way though resuming? Anyone got any ideas what this could be? Where can I look on windows for log messages from the client? Thanks Will

Questions about sessions

Hi, I feel awkward asking these since I am a developer. 1. What are the differences between a session that is "suspend" and a session that is "running" but disconnected? 2. With X2Go Client for Windows at least, sometimes I will connect to an X2go Server and I will see 1 running or suspended session listed in the Qt4 GUI. Other times, I connect and it automatically connect me to the existing session. What causes this behavior? PATH clobbered with X2Go client 4.0.3.0+

I'm using X2Go to connect to a GNOME session running on CentOS 6. With X2Go clients prior to 4.0.3.0 all is well. With clients 4.0.3.0 and above on both Windows and Linux I'm seeing a problem with the PATH environment variable: any changes to PATH made by scripts in /etc/profile.d are lost; all other environment settings made by these scripts are OK. Changes made to PATH in ~/.bash_profile are respected, so that's a workaround. Something about newer clients is breaking PATH: any clues as to what it might be, or how I can track down what's happening? Ron

Hi, I'm giving a presentation / speech about X2go this Wednesday at the silicon valley linux user group, I was just wondering if you guys have done any presentations and introductions about x2go and have some of the slide decks online that I might get an idea of all the points to cover. intermitent behaviour: freezes on status connecting

Hi, I am using X2go 4.0.3.1 client on Windows 7 and the following version on a Centos 6.4 server: x2goagent: 3.5.0.27 x2goserver: 4.0.1.13 x2goserver-extensions: 4.0.1.13 x2goserver-fmbindings: 4.0.1.13 x2goserver-xsession: 4.0.1.13 X2go has been working stably for months but on average it takes me 2 attempts to resume a KDE session. Half the time I just get a "status: connecting" and no messages on the log window. I then have to restart the client. Is this a known problem or could people please suggest how to debug it? use ssh proxy with x2go firefox plugin

Hello! I'm trying to access a distant x2goServer where a x2go plugin is running with apache2. On this server some client computer with x2goPlugin is connected with reverse ssh. >From my own computer, with the application x2goClient, I succeed to be connected to the clients computers through my distant x2goServer and control remotely the clients computers connected to it. I copy the session file of my x2goclient inside the /var/www of my server, in the part x2goconfig and add "server= @Serverx2goIp". Then when I reach the web server of my x2goServer and launch the config It failed with the error 'connection timed out'. I tried to look at the package send, apparently the package send from my own computer with x2goclient are not the same as using x2go browser plugin. So my question is any idea why it not works? And also, is it possible to use ssh proxy of the session file with x2go browser plugin? It seems not. Best Regard. Nicolas.

PyHoca-GUI: Logon script for published apps

Hello, I'll would like to have some scripts run after login to the server (through PyHoca-GUI, neither an app or full desktop is autorun). (In the particular case, it should add keys to the kernel keyring for the given session so that the user is able to access network CIFS multiuser-mounts via systemd.automount just by accessing the mount point). What is the correct location to drop the script (bash)? I can see /usr/lib/x2go/extensions/post-start.d exists: is it intended for this purpose? If so, is it functional to use the equivalent structure in /etc/x2go (system-wide) or even /home/user/.x2go directories? Hello X2Go users, See the previous email I sent below. PyHoca-GUI 0.5.0.4 was just released with very few changes compared to 0.5.0.3. So I will not be making any new 0.5.0.3 builds. I did manage to fix the bug with Pageant authentication (bug #767) after 0.5.0.4 was released.
