hi Gerry, Please add also wxPython 2.8 as a requirement. For me the main reason to develop this is that the windows client is not stable if used with a single application. The problem is with XMing, try to run a single application and move the mouse fast around if running under Windows 7 and it crashes. Furthermore I think we can make some enhancements for the gui, (operating from the Taskbar, automatic minimizing of the gui etc.) and as python and wxpython are crossplatform we can run the same code on mac, Linux and MS-Windows. So we would have only a single code base to maintain, which would be good for the quality of the total solution. We are working very hard on this development, but it will take some time before it is all stable. Top numlock keys do not work

Hello, all. We are aware that we must be careful about Num lock and CAPS lock because toggling them in the physical desktop does not toggle them in the virtual desktop but toggling them in the virtual desktop toggles them in both - thus they can easily get out of sync. However, one of our clients reported something a bit nastier and I have confirmed it on my setup. When the num lock is toggled off in the virtual desktop, the /*- keys work properly. When num lock is toggled on, those top three keys cease to work. That is extremely awkward for those doing accounting work or heavy date entry (the client's bookkeeper reported it!). Is this a misconfiguration on our part or is it a bug? Thanks - John

X2GO Ubuntu 10.10 on Linux and Mac clients "d" key

Hello, I am testing out X2go with Ubuntu 10.10. Everything works great and we are leaning towards rolling this out to our entire development organization if we can solve a few outstanding issues. Right now, the biggest one we're facing is that whenever I type 'd' it hides all open applications and shows my desktop. Every other key seems to work just fine, as does sessions suspend/resume, audio, performance, etc. but obviously this is still unusable to us with the 'd' key being unavailable. I have tested this on the Linux, Mac, and Windows X2go clients and this is only the behavior on the Linux and Mac clients, not on the Windows client - the 'd' key works fine on Windows x2go client. Any thoughts? FWIW, On Ubuntu 9.10 using x2go, I don't have this issue with Mac/Linux clients. However, we don't want to confine ourselves to 9.10 by choosing x2go. There appear to be a number of efforts involving developing python scripts for x2go. What are the status of these python efforts? Did Jörg abandon his effort? Mike, you mentioned the you were redeveloping Jörg's scripts. Is that effort finished? And what ssh connection approach is being taken with python scripts? Multiple ssh connections the same as the perl scripts? Or establish and reuse a single ssh connection? And what is the minimum python level necessary to run these python scripts? 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6? Just trying to gauge the requirements, features and maturity of the python efforts. Regards, Gerry

sessions suspending

I started multiple sessions for the same user this morning. Then later in the afternoon all of the sessions show as suspended. What is causing this? Is there some automatic session timeout limit? Regards, Gerry

How to track an x2go issue/bug?

Hi, Thanks for all your efforts on x2go. I've worked out that connecting to the same host (127.0.0.1, localhost, 10.n.n.n/192.168.n.n or <hostname>) is not currently supported. I am struggling to find out how to track this issue so that when it is resolved I can return to x2go and drop neatx. Appreciate any pointers to an issue or bug tracker. Frequent crashes in XMing

Hi List, We have setup x2go and are testing the whole setup. We are using multiwindow rootless setup. So this means that the normal Windows desktop is leading and starting the application results in standard MS-Windows Windows being opened. When we are using this setup, we are experiencing frequent crashes in XMing. As a matter of fact the crashes occur so frequently that the whole setup is useless (At least one crash per hour). So if anyone knows what to do about these problems I would be VERY happy. As a suggestion that I haven't tried yet; could it be that the parameters that are passed to XMing conflict? I read the documentation of XMing and there seems to be an xmingrc which could also be used for entering parameters. I do not find that in the xming directory of x2go.
