Centos6 to Mint

I've got a Mint server with the latest everything, that is it is completely up to date. I have a client trying to use x2go from work and is getting the complaint about SHA1, my system won't accept it, but only from x2go. If he connects with straight ssh it connects okay. I run about a dozen virtual machines on it, an apache server, mail, shell servers. Might be up to around 50 people at a time. Some graphical, some just simple ssh sessions. "Connection to Local Desktop" without unlocking the physical display?

Hello, I think about building a X2go server for about 30 sessions at the same time with XFCE, Firefox, Thunderbird, LibreOffice. Not sure about which hardware to use. I would say this: 4GB for the system 4GB for shared binaries like Firefox, Thunderbird, LibreOffice 1GB for a user what I would give 4GB on a fat client. 2GB for a power-user what I would give 8GB on a fat client. When I count on 5 powerusers and 25 normal users I would say 35GB + 8GB =43GB. Not sure about the shared binaries, is this "per processor"? I think about a server with 2 processors. I think one processor is enough, but it's not expensive to find a used one with 2 processors and much memory. I think about running it virtualized with Qemu/KVM/libvirt what also will take some memory. I think 48 GB is a correct RAM size. Please correct me when I am wrong! I guess it will be possible to run a server with 16GB with 30 sessions, but it will be "not nice". What is your experience? x2gocheckport

Manjaro

Issue (typo?) with SPF record

Hi I just subscribed to the list (hi!) and the confirmation email arrived in Google Mail's spam. While their spam filter has becoming over-sensitive in recent times, in this case it appears to be a typo in the SPF record: "v=spf1 include:das-netwzerkteam.de mx ?all" where das-netwzerken.de is an NXDOMAIN (should be das-netzwerken.de?) x2go Connecting from Mac to Linux

Hello, I've been using x2go for a long time to connect from a Mac to a Linux Desktop running Kubuntu 16.04 (KDE running locally). A few weeks back I ran into trouble with x2go crashing very often, and each time killing my VPN connection. To understand if the OSX version was the problem, I updated my Mac from 10.13. High Sierra to 10.14.3 Mojave, but the problem persists. Some observations: When connecting to the Linux Desktop without VPN (possible only when physically connected to the same network), the problem persists. When running only the VPN without x2go, the connection is stable. Non-graphical ssh sessions are stable. Connecting to a suspended session seems to make things worse (more frequent crashes). Using xfce or mate doesn't change anything. When running the x2go client (Version 4.1.2.1) in debug mode, at a certain point (but not upon startup) I get one of the following messages: x2go-DEBUG-../src/sshmasterconnection.cpp:2193> "ssh_channel_open_session failed": "Socket error: Connection reset by peer" x2go-DEBUG-../src/sshmasterconnection.cpp:2193> "ssh_channel_open_session failed": "Socket error: No such file or directory" x2go-DEBUG-../src/sshmasterconnection.cpp:2193> "ssh_channel_open_session failed": "Socket error: Can't assign requested address" x2go-DEBUG-../src/sshmasterconnection.cpp:2193> "ssh_channel_open_session failed": "Socket error: Operation timed out" Any help would be greatly appreciated! -Ute

postgres session backend, ldap users first login and pam_mkhomedir

Hi, I try to run x2go with postgres as session backend. I have users in ldap database and i would like to use pam_mkhomedir when user connects with x2 goclient/pyhoca for the first time, so i have no $HOME, no $HOME/.x2go and no $HOME/.x2go/sqlpass. I tryied x2godbadmin --addgroup x2gousers from https://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:advanced:multi-node:x2goserver- pgsql but 1) group is from ldap/sssd (i think i must switch on sssd enumerate to get members of ldap groups :( ) 2) x2godbadmin does "sub add_user()" so it creates $HOME/.x2go of group members (and it creates it under user who runs x2godbadmin - so $HOME owner is root ) and pam_mkhomedir does not take efect so...
