Hi, I am able to connect from windows x2go client to the broker server (installed in Ubunt 20.04), And I have created a session profile in /etc/x2go/broker/x2gobroker-sessionprofiles.conf file [test-192.168.0.27] user= name=test-192.168.0.27 host=192.168.0.27 command=KDE usebrokerpass=true fullscreen = true broker-session-autologin=true But when I select "test-192.168.0.27" session, it gives Authentication error of Access denied. Configure x2go-client to not forward specific key combinations?

Hi folks, I'm interested in using x2go to: * connect into several individual accounts/machines at the same time * use each remote machine desktop in full screen mode * switch between remote full screen desktops using a specific key combination, which would therefore not be sent to the remote Is this possible? In my initial perusal of man pages and testing I don't see a way to do what seems to me to be the (probably wrong) solution- instruct the x2go-client (in either launch remote desktop mode, or desktop screen sharing mode) to not capture a specific key combination (like control-alt-right arrow and control-alt-left arrow) so that the parent desktop can handle them (e.g. switch between parent-side virtual desktops). I'm using Fedora / XFCE for all systems. Thanks very much in advance! Jonah

Client GUI for connecting to broker

Hi. I'm considering using X2Go broker to implement load balancing for some Linux servers, but many of our users are on Windows devices. Getting them to run the command line options to connect to a broker is going to be tricky; it would be much more useful if we could get them to click on a button, paste in an address, and then they're off and running. Is there any scope for adding a way in the client to connect to a broker from the GUI? Thanks, Iain Hallam.

x2go session failure because of unknown "localhost"

Hello list, I have been using x2go without issues for a long time until recently. Both client and server are running on Linux machines. I can connect to the server (via an SSH proxy). I get the "New session started" notification. But the session is apparently terminated because tere is some error resoling the display server. I copy pasted the log messages in the enclosed file. I think the important part is this: Loop: WARNING! Overriding auxiliary X11 port with new value '1'. Warning: Overriding auxiliary X11 port with new value '1'. Info: Using abstract X11 socket in kernel namespace for accessing DISPLAY=:0. Error: Failed to resolve address of 'localhost'. Loop: PANIC! Unknown remote host 'localhost'. Error: Unknown remote host 'localhost'. Session: Session terminated at 'Fri Jun 19 22:50:42 2020'. As far as I remember I haven't changed client or server configuration. I did switch from using Published App sessions to Xfce session to I have installed Xfce on the server. Published App sessions do not work either now. Any idea what is going on here? keyboard config on wayland

Both client and server are Fedora (31 and 32). I'm running a kde/wayland client, with capslock mapped to ctrl. When I connect to the server (running mate) everything works fine, except I don't have capslock mapped to ctrl. Every time I connect (not every time the session starts) I have to run setxkbmap -option caps:ctrl_modifier Oh actually one thing doesn't work. Cut/paste is totally nonfunctional. -- *Those who don't understand recursion are doomed to repeat it*

Problems using HTML5 kvm console

Hello everyone, we use x2go in our company and it works really well. However, currently we have noticed two problems that occur in connection with an HTML5 KVM (remote console) client. Maybe one of you has an idea about these issues. 1st question When using the keyboard within the KVM console, we noticed that the arrow down key is incorrectly assigned and triggers an Enter. With the help of a keycode event tool I found that the NumpadEnter is transmitted there, see screenshot in the appendix. It seems that the wrong physical key (key code) is transmitted via x2go/nx. This has nothing directly to do with the keyboard layout used and therefore unfortunately cannot be changed within the virtual console. Is this error known? Is there a fix for it? 2nd question OpenGL/GLX is required for the KVM console. Unfortunately, only GLX1.2 is in use among the current nx-libs, which is why this does not work in Firefox. I have found only VirtualGL as workaround. Do you know other methods to make such applications running? Best regards Simon

Minor Enhancement Request

Hi, Short version, we'd like the ~/.ssh/config file to be respected for X2GoClient on Windows. Use case: I've been using X2Go heavily with some colleagues on Windows 10. We also use Git quite a bit, which provides SSH via repackaged MSYS. We frequently use the config file at ~/.ssh/config in order to set up all the hosts and connections we use, as there are a lot to manage. We connect a lot to various machines, including local VMs in Hyper-V using both SSH through Git Bash, as well as with X2Go Client. Pain: The current X2Go Client makes us maintain the configurations for each connection separately from the SSH Config file we already maintain. VM images complicate things as the IPs change on us more than we'd like and exacerbate the pain as we have to make IP updates in more than one location. Any useful workaround suggestions until X2Go client can be made to honor the ~/.ssh/config file? Matt.

OT: key modifiers

I have a nasty problem not related to x2go. My desktop is Fedora 32/KDE (pretty sure doesn't matter if wayland or x11). Sometimes I need to edit a MS office document. I've been using vmware horizon to connect to my work, and fire up powerpoint. After using this, (and after closing down horizon), I find all my modifier keys are gone, ALT, CTRL no longer do anything. I don't know how to recover without logoff/logon. Can't start a plasma session

Hello, my x2go, provided by Sabayon Linux, can't start a KDE session because there is no more startkde command, I guess now it must run startplasma-wayland or startplasma-x11. Is there a version that implements that? Which one? Regards, Mihai Sorin Dobrescu
