How to reduce fonts size?

Hello, Though I read https://www.mail-archive.com/x2go-user@lists.x2go.org/msg03049.html and when using 'Single application' or 'Published applications', and running Thunderbird (91.1.2) from a 4.1.0.3-5 x2go server running on an Ubuntu 21.10, to my XUbuntu 21.10 desktop, whatever setting I'm trying to use about the DPI has absolutely no effect on the fonts size in the published Thunderbird. They are significantly bigger, and don't change either when raising nor lowering the DPI setting. Is this something I could check somewhere in the logs, or does anyone has any advice about it? x2goagent segfaulting on client connect

I have a CentOS 7.9 system on which X2Go was previously working perfectly, but which is now broken. It broke after a typical yum update but I am not sure what changed to break things and I would like some help debugging and resolving this issue. I should mention that as part of my troubleshooting I have begun using NVIDIA kmod drivers from the ELRepo instead of ones installed from NVIDIA's .run file. The behavior I'm seeing in every failed connection produces the following log entries. Programs opening on wrong xserver

Hi all I'm having an issue where some apps open on the wrong screen. If I'm logged in locally on the physical machine, then log in via x2go, and start some software it opens (or tries to) on the physical display on the locally logged in account. I sshed in and made a new user, then connected via x2go and saw no issues. Has anyone seen behaviour like this before? It's very strange, and didn't happen before I upgraded to Ubuntu 21.10. Jake

I'm new to the mailing list and long time user of X2Go on the same HP Notebook. Windows 10. X2go is running over Pulse Secure as the VPN to a Remote Server. When starting X2go on my notebook there is no message other than an Application Event Log Error. I had a look for an X2Go Log file or dump that might give me a further lead to follow. I've attached that to the email. I also Had a look at the properties of the ntdll.dll That shows a fresh version - so that may be a pointer. Are there special compatibilities to be aware of ? Would be grateful for suggestions where next to look. Thanks Peter

Speed up inital x2go connection - takes about 10 sec to connect

Hi all, I installed the latest x2go windows client (on windows 10) and one x2go server on RHEL 8. I installed all necessary packages from RHEL and EPEL Repos and generally it’s working fine. I use ssh keys for password less authentification. All is currently on the same lan, no wan or something like this. It disabled sound, file sharing, printing and all on the x2go client (serverside all is default) and launch a single application .. firefox. When I click on the x2go Icon to start the connection, the client shows „connecting“ („Verbinde“ on german) and nothing happens inside the details log panel. After about 10 sec. a lot of messages are appearing and firefox starts in about 1 sec. Is there any possibilty to improve the inital connection? If I connect via putty all is fast without any delays. I searched a while the archive and just found this post: https://lists.x2go.org/pipermail/x2go-user/2020-October/006319.html <https://lists.x2go.org/pipermail/x2go-user/2020-October/006319.html> My nxagent is higher then the mentioned version: # dnf list | grep nxagent nxagent.x86_64 3.5.99.26-1.el8 @epel Are there any further possibilties? Expedite Windows x2go client close on loss of connection?

I frequently encounter connection interruptions. Each such interruption results in the x2go client freezing for about a minute before the notification window pops up to ask if I want to terminate the session or not. Upon confirming, it then takes another minute before the x2go window closes. Is there any way grab the x2go client by the scruff of the neck and make it go away the moment I notice it isn't responding to keypresses?

desktop sharing: would like to share (groups of) windows

I'm a new user and trying to share a session on different machines/displays. So, on the server I start a session, say DISPLAY=:50 from a client with a regular 1960x1280 screen. When I move to another machine/display, for instance using a 4K screen, I can share the desktop. I'm getting a 1960x1280 desktop with the windows on :50. That's not really what I want. Instead, I would like to get all :50 windows -without- having a special window for the desktop. Ideally I would like to move the windows :50 independently of the original session. Since, on the 4K screen, I prefer a different placement of windows. Ideally I would like to share a group of windows belonging to one part of the process-tree. Essentially this means that window positions should become client specific. Is something like this possible at all? Please note I'm not subscribed on this mailing list, I will watch the mail-archive now and then. P.S. desktop sharing leaves echoes of a moved window in the desktop, this is a bug I guess
