Admintools and client-session-administration

Hello! We are extensively using X2go, and are very happy, that this solution exist. A we have several computers which can hold x2go sessions, it becomes more vital to administer these sessions from a central point. Of course there are x2golistsessions, x2goterminate-session and so on but would it be nice to have a simple GUI or at least a little bit more readable terminal-output? Also: The x2goclient doesn't seem to have a gui-part to administer suspended and running sessions. This for example would made it much easier to handle your running sessions. Especially, if you are using several different servers (This is all without the thinclient-environment in mind!) best regards Jochen

Package missing in the redhat repo: perl-File-BaseDir

Hello, I have installed a recent version of x2goserver on a redhat machine and came across a dependency problem. It turns out that the package "perl-File-BaseDir" is a required dependency, but it is present neither in the official redhat repos, nor in the opensuse hosted RHEL6 repo. Could you please add it? Q: Command Field in GUI & Way to use SSH config file?

Hi All: We had a couple of quick questions: 1) Command Field in GUI: In the x2go GUI there is a "Command:" field. What is this for? It does not seem to be accessible if Gnome or KDE are selected. 2) Config File Does x2go use the ssh config file? If not, is there a way to get it to do so? We're looking for a way to pass parameters like we might do with ssh from the command line. Thanks, Ted

Michael your email says you're using ?? (Ubuntu 12.2) ?? Could you post if you actually meant 12.04 or 12.10 as there is no ubuntu 12.2? Also did you recently upgrade? Configurable keybindings for x2go(agent)

Hello, NX annoyingly adds hardcoded keybindings which overlap with e.g. GNOME's. Where in GNOME, Ctrl-Alt-t opens a new terminal, in NX and therefore in x2go, it closes the session. Therefore I hacked together configurable keybinding support for nxagent/x2goagent as described here: http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:components:nxagent_keyboard_shortcuts Currently this is experimental, so please test and report bugs, if there are no major breakages, you can expect it for version 3.5.0.17. X2go was working a while back, but now when I boot the client I just get a blank screen and this message: NXPROXY - Version 3.5.0 Copyright (C) 2001, 2010 NoMachine. Num Lock problem with Windows client and Spanish keyboard

Hi, I got a issue with num lock keys when users connect to x2goserver in ubuntu 11.10 (last x2go windows client downloaded from x2go.org web). More of times the number keys in right side keyboards panel don't work. If you press 5, 0, ., enter in numeric pad work as expected but others work as num lock key was switched off. Some times every of them work as expected but some times not. I tried to set different keyboards layout in users x2goclient, set to blank and auto in keyboard model and keyboard layout fields, exec setxkbmap es after login, etc. but no success. Repost of issue: Connection failed xhost: unable to open display on Windows 7

Hi, I wanted to repost my issue from before, as I don't know if it arrived in the mailing list or not. I'm curious where I can start to troubleshoot this. Why is the vcxsrv server not reachable? I am now stuck at this ancient release (3.01), which works more or less, but has problems (and still uses xming, which tends to crash from time to time). I would really like to use the new verison of X2go for Windows, but so far I am stuck at receiving this error: Connection failed xhost: unable to open display I know about this problem on a Linux host, but never had this error on a Windows system. Any help or pointers are appreciated. Here is my original post that probably got lost: ----- I have this problem with all newer versions of x2go on Windows 7. I have been trying to use a newer version than 3.01-4, but every time I do, I sooner or later get this error. Then I revert back to the old version and then it works flawlessly. Then, after some time, I wish to give a newer version a try and end up with the same problem, unable to use x2goclient. The strange thing is that I now used 3.99.3.0 for a week or so, without problems, but now I am stuck again, it just popped up out of nowhere. How can I fix this? It seems the vcxsrv is might not be started, but when starting it manually, it does not make a difference at all. Thanks, Markus
