x2go client deadlocks if server reboots

The x2go-client seems to deadlock if I do a reboot/shutdown of the server. Some time after I initiated the reboot of the server the client asks if I want to terminate the session (because the servers does not respond), which I answer with yes. Nothing happens. When I try to close the session window, nothing happens. When I try to close the session using from the x2go client window by clicking the button to close the session, the client window itself starts to hang and I have to kill it. Christoph

Which desktop for Ubuntu 12.04

Hi, I use the 4.x release of x2go on both client and server. The server is ubuntu 12.04, client is SuSE. If I use unity as desktop, at the top there are about 60px missing. The ubuntu dash symbol at the top is only half visible. If I choose ubuntu-2d I get several small images, instead of fullscreen, which I selected. It looks like this: http://thomas-guettler.de/tbz/u1204-x2go.png Now I use LXDE and this works good. Except one thing: the ssh-agent does not get executed during login. I start keychain in .bashrc. I'm thinking about upgrading my home computer to Windows 8 from Windows 7, but I really need to use the x2go windows client to connect to my work Ubuntu machine. Does the x2go client work on Windows 8? Thanks.

Hi all, Any chance of using (pki) smartcard in combination with x2go? On the sites I found references towards GPG-cards, but I need to use ordinary smartcards with standard key & certificates. Note that I cannot use something like USB-forwarding, as the reader + card are also needed by local applications. Afterwards I try to connect using the phy-client with user B trying to connect to the desktop of user A. Well, light+love :) No problem. On the bug subject: I've been able to create a workaround, creating two sessions one with 800x600 not in full screen and other with full screen. Hope this helps someone, it's not really a solution but it works for now. critical issue: wrong display size

Hello, I'm using Ubuntu 12.04. Locally I use Unity and a Gnome remote session. Since V. 4.0.0.1 I have this problem: In the properties of the remote session I have set a custom display size, but the remote session has always 1,920×1,080 (This is also the resolution of my display). My local unity environment needs some pixel for the taskbar in the top. Because of this there is not anymore enough place for the remote session, the taskbar in the bottom of Gnome is truncated. If I use the Fullscreen mode, the taskbars in the top and in the bottom are missing. I can see only the symbols (files and folders) on my desktop. I deleted the old x2go folders/profiles from my home, but it doesn't help. Thanks Michael

The Windows version of X2Go Client will be built and provided on http://code.x2go.org/releases/ within the next couple of days. With a little fortune we will also be able to provide an X2Go Client .dmg Image for Mac OS X. As you might have noticed we have bumped the version numbers of X2Go Server and X2Go Client to 4.0.0.x. These versions will be the basis for an upcoming bundle release (with long term support) of compatible X2Go components. As you can also see from the changelog entry of NX (redistributed), there has been quite some packaging work been done on that project. However, there also is a new upstream patch from Alexander Wuerstlein among the commits: it is now possible to flexibly configure nxagent's / x2goagent's key strokes. Connecting Message

Dear List, I would like to achieve the following with x2go: /when a user connects using either x2goclient or python x2go, a message will be displayed before he is logged in: "Welcome to terminal services, you will be connected in the next XXX seconds.". / What needs to be done to achieve this? Shall I do something at the clients level? or putting scripts into x2goserver-run-extensions? Thanks a lot for your tips. Cheers Joshua
