Diskless Booting

Hi, I try to set up an environment where the user can choose between: - diskless booting an operating system (no x2go) - booting a small operating system and use x2go. I looked at the TCE documentation: http://www.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:components:tce Is this maintained and used in production? Unfortunately the set up explained there allows only one boot image. But I need other images. At least one with Ubuntu 12.04. For the non-x2go images I use this path: /tftpboot/os/IMAGE-NAME Is it possible to use scripts like x2gothinclientmanagement with a different path? Since the other images use ubuntu, it would be nice if the x2go image would use ubuntu, too. What do you use? A different way would be this: Don't use different boot-images, but use one boot image which gives you a login screen where you can choose between working local and working with x2go. PyHoca Issues

Couple issues fellers: I have PyHoca set to Log In Automatically and Start New Session Automatically, but it is doing neither when I start it. Also when I tell PyHoca to connect to one server it always always says, "The authenticity of host [hex] can't be established. Are you sure you want to continue connecting?" When I ssh to this host it always asks the same thing. Why is the system never put it in known_hosts? x2goclient mac keyboard problems with kubuntu 12.10

H*ello,** ** **i have some problems with the german keyboard layout with my X2go Mac Client **( * V. 3.99.2.1) in combination with my kubuntu 12.10 server. If i connect to to kubuntu 12.04 it works! Is there any new version avaiable from the mac client software? thanks mirco

Problem with KDE, Network Manager and X2Go

Hi all, I've installed a Debian Wheezy virtual machine (KVM) with KDE. If I log on using the console, I can use Network Manager to succesfully add a VPN connection. If I log on to the same machine via X2Go, I can't add a new VPN connection (and the one added from the console session isn't there). When I try to save it I get "No session found for uid 1000". I've spent hours googling and there seems to be a problem with dbus and/or ConsoleKit. If I use the console to logon, KDM does something that makes Network Manager/dbus/ConsoleKit happy, if I use X2Go that "something" is missing. KWallet may also be a factor, when I'm logged on to the console it pops up at the same step that I get the error message in X2Go. Is there any X2Go user out there that has a solution to this problem? X2Go and systemd: printing fails silently

Hello, at least on Arch linux, the default systemd unit file for cups.service includes the directive "PrivateTmp=true", which causes x2goprint to silently fail since the file manipulations normally done in /tmp/.x2go-$user/spool/ are partially carried out in /tmp/systemd-private-blabla/.x2go-$user/spool and never get to the client's SSHFS'ed dir. I am not expert in systemd and do know know if the "sandboxing" for cups is Arch specific. SSH Proxy for OS X interface

Hi All: We've started to use the SSH Proxy option on the x2go Windows client - very cool!. Just downloaded latest client for OS X, but don't see the Proxy server option. - Is this for windows only at present? Is an OS X version in the works? - Is there a way to simulate the proxy server option, possibly in a script? Any examples? Thx Ted

RHEL6 package should create /tmp/.X11-unix directory

Hi all, After much hunting I found what the problem was runnung x2goserver on a freshly installed server. Apparently X2Go requires the /tmp/.X11-unix directory to exist with permissions 1777. Could you please see to it the creation of this directory and the permissions settings are performed by teh x2goserver package. Thanks, Burnce
