Hi, I have a thin client with 1 GHz and 512 MB RAM and it connects to the x2goserver via LAN (100 MBit/s). The performance isn't good. With my notebook (quadcore, 8 GB RAM) I have a very very good performance, So is there an option to reduce the cpu usage on the client? Regards

Published applications: subdirectories are ignored

Hello, is it a known limitation of X2Go that as published applications are only those listed, which reside in /etc/x2go/applications, and any that are in subdirectories such as /etc/x2go/applications/kde4 are ignored by X2Go client? (Tested on pyhoca-gui 0.4.0.8, x2goserver 4.0.1.15. I work-around that by symlinking each .desktop file individually instead /usr/share/applications only.) Mac client seems to hang frequently

I now have a second user on Mac who has issues with X2Go being very flakey, hanging etc. This is connecting to a Scientific Linux 6.5 server. We don't see hangs and crashes often or at all on Windows with the X2Go client. This is what the user reports: Just now I was able to use X2Go from my office Mac and with ICEWM with no problems. Then I exited, and tried to reconnect. It hangs at "Status: running" for about a minute, at which point I receive an error dialog box, "No response received from the remove server. Do you want to terminate the current session?" I tried reconnecting once more with no luck. Then a third time after restarting X2Go, which did make it work. Then I logged out and restarted again. This time it hung again, along with the entire X2Go client. Forcing quit and restarting, then trying to reconnect gave a different, "Access denied" error. OK. After more quitting & restarting I was again able to reconnect. So my question is: is this sort of behavior normal - say on the windows side? Is it possible to get pulseaudio sound in app mode?

Hi community, I'm trying to achieve this: build a Firefox/Iceweasel application server (Debian Wheezy) with several simultaneous clients using Raspberry Pi (Raspbian) using x2go, everything being in a LAN. Of course each user needs to hears just its own application sound. I don't want to send a full desktop manager as I just want them to use Firefox/Iceweasel. As of now, I don't have too much trouble to start Firefox/Iceweasel from clients. Only troubles I get are : * the size of the Firefox window doesn't manage to get the local screensize despite I tick "Fullscreen" in x2go, so I must use --heigth and --width command line parameter * menu at the top doesn't work ether * no sound at all I think everything is linked with the fact I try not to use a windows manager, but I'm even not sure pulseaudio can deal with several simultenous users. Any advices/ideas would be really appreciated. Best regards, EG

screen redraw/flickering issue on Mac OS client

Hello, I've had great success with using x2go using Debian as client and server. I'm experiencing an issue with the Mac client (v4.0.2.1) connecting to a Debian server (4.0.1.16-0x2go1+git20140926.935+jessie.main.1). I'm using XQuartz (2.7.7) in full screen mode on Mavericks. Every few seconds, the screen will drastically flicker, as if redrawing the entire screen, or as if X is very quickly switching back and forth between windows or something. It seems to happen more frequently when I am doing a lot of mouse/keyboard activity, although it does also happen if I stop and let the screen just sit there. Any ideas what might be causing this, or what options I might try to tweak to get rid of this issue? It's distracting enough that it really prevents normal usage. Thanks! Jeff

If you simply need libreoffice from wheezy-bpo, why did you upgrade your libqt to the version in wheezy-bpo? Your fix for installing x2godesktopsharing probably is this: apt-get install x2godesktopsharing -t wheezy-backports This won't pull in an x2godesktopsharing from wheezy-backports (as there is no such build), but it will try to fulfill missing dependency requirements for non-installed libqt* packages from wheezy-backports. Intermittent problems reconnecting to X2Go server

Hi. When I try to reconnect to a X2Go session it sometimes fails, if I use x2goclient-cli I can see this error message on the client side: channel 1: open failed: connect failed: Connection refused I've have experienced this problem for a long time (years), but haven't reported it because I haven't found a way to reliably reproduce it.
