Hi, I have two questions about x2gocleansessions and x2goprint. x2gocleansessions is the deamon which runs in the background (daemon) and runs every 30 seconds. Why the 30 seconds ? Can the interval be raised (I see a 30sec statement in the perl script so I assume it is possible). The reason for asking is the fact I see a lot of x2gocleansession processes running on the server. The second question is abount x2goprint. When printing the cups print jobs are being saved in the / of the system. Which script/command must be adjusted to save the cups print jobs in eq /tmp or /var/spool/x2goprint ? Many thanks in advance, Jasper van der Marel Stone-IT

Hi, When printing to the x2go-cups printer the cups jobs will be placed in / (eg /50-jvandermarel-cupsjob16168) Which config file must be adjusted so the jobs can be placed in eg /tmp ? Thanks in advance, Jasper van der Marel Stone-IT

Windows client hangs after screen saver starts

I'm running X2GoClient 3.0.1-4 on WindowsXP home. If I walk away from my X2Go desktop for an extended period of time, when I stop the Windows screen saver, the X2Go screen is completely white and refuses to close; it must be forcibly closed. I've tried moving the mouse and typing the screensaver password on the remote system but that did not work. If I let Windows go to screen saver and then immediately end the screen saver, I do not have this problem. Killing the process seems to be stopping xming. Is this a known issue? Where should I be looking for data to troubleshoot? Thanks - John

X2GoClient mutes physical sound system

Hello, all. I am running fully patched Lenny on my physical desktop. I find whenever I connect to my virtual desktop via X2Goclient, it mutes my local sound system. Since I am using a softphone, this is a big problem and I must remember to go back to my physical desktop each time and reactivate it. Is this a bug, feature, or misconfiguration on my part? x2goclient-3.0.1-4. Thanks - John

It is also possible to use the packages "x2gognomebindings" and "x2gokdebindings" (please don't forget to run updatelockbutton) to get this function inside your session graphically. best regards, Heinz

Hello John, /tmp was choosen because in every other part of the directory structure ubuntu tries to mount the sshfs device itself. best regards, Heinz

The user mounts his homedir on a cifs (samba) share and everything works except sharing media and printing. As said before the mount.log file shows "connection reset by peer", The user is in the right groups (fuse and x2gousers). This will be fixed in one of the upcomming versions. The LDAP mode is totally untested (by us) on ubuntu. If you're using LDAP just for authentification this setup should work. best regards, Heinz
