authentification cookie error

Hi, I have a problem with my test server. Three days ago I was unable to connect to my computer with X2GO (in local connexion). Remove my .Xauthority file solved the problem. Now I'm in front of the same problem again, but there is no .Xauthority file. I'm unable to connect to my computer in local : gml@black-cerisier:~$ cat /home/gml/.x2go/S- test-50-1277062230_stDGNOME_dp24/sessions Loop: PANIC! The remote NX proxy closed the connection. Loop: PANIC! Failure negotiating the session in stage '7'. Loop: PANIC! Wrong version or invalid session authentication cookie. gml@black-cerisier:~$ But when I try to connect from another computer, it works like a charm. (my X2GO server is on a Ubuntu 10.04) Any idea on how to solve this ? Regards, gml PS to Heinz : I have tried the firefox plugin, it works _perfectly_, great job !

No contents file for amd64?

I was looking for the "x2gosuspend-session-gnome" command, so I installed apt-file and updated it, but then I received an error message: Ignoring source without Contents File: http://apt-mirror/x2go/dists/lenny/Contents-amd64.gz Obviously, apt-mirror is my local mirror. How do users suspend their sessions?

I guess the subject sais it all. I'd like to be able to disconnect from the sessions without logging out of the system. How is this accomplished using x2go? Thanks, Jo-Erlend Schinstad

Extra functions requested in x2go

Hi List, First of all,I am very impressed by the work you have done and would like to thank all involved. We are a company that provides a kind of CRM system over the net to our customers. (See www.lindix.nl, text is Dutch) Currently we use GoGlobal but we want to switch to x2go. However, there is a missing piece. In GoGlobal it is possible to start an application on the client by the use of the extension of the file. So I can write an Excel sheet in my application and subsequently start the file, the result is that a local session opens on the client with the Excel sheet. I realize that there are security issues here, but for our application this would be a real bonus. Is there any chance this could be implemented? If the number of hours involved is reasonable, we even would pay for that. Cheers, D.Kniep
