Translators needed (esp. French)

Hi all, the X2Go project is looking for someone who feels entitled to maintain the French translation of X2Go software projects (e.g. X2Go Client, PyHoca-GUI, ...). There currently is no French translation in X2Go applications and we would be happy to have that changed in the future. Please contact me via one of our lists or even privately. Major issue with users' mounts and encrypted (ecryptfs) homes in suspended sessions

Hi all, I would like to report a major problem affecting people using home folder encryption (ecryptfs) and miscellaneous FUSE mounts. When session suspended, user's folders got unmounted. As result applications and services left in undefined state and that might lead to severe results. In addition to banal crashes, dropbox and friends might decide that data was deleted locally and sync that to cloud! I guess above related to the fact all pam sessions are closed during suspend. Any ideas how to fix that? P.S. Previously NoMachine's server was available as a fallback. But due to recent changes to libCairo (http://bugs.x2go.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=16) it's currently broken. And I am not sure when and if at all, it's going to be fixed. So currently there is no solution. Thanks

close #54 thanks Hi Heinrich, hi all, I have just added MD5, SHA1 and GPG signatures to all X2Go source tarball and binary downloads. @Developers, esp. Alex: The commands to use in the future for new uploads on http://code.x2go.org/releases are: $ md5sum $tarball > $tarball.md5 $ sha1sum $tarball > $tarball.sha1 $ gpg -a -b --sign $tarball The uploading developers sign the uploaded tarballs with their own GPG keys so. Package: x2goclient Version: 3.99.2.1 Dear maintainer, you offer downloads for the x2go client, e.g. on page http://code.x2go.org/releases/binary-win32/x2goclient Unfortunately you do not provide any possibility to verify if a downloaded file is authentic, or if during transfer a virus has been added. Please, provide for each download a GPG signature and optionally SHA1 and MD5 hashs. http://maven.apache.org/download.html is a good examples except for the missing SHA1 hash. Bug#53: ssh timeout & hostkey saving

Package: python-x2go Severity: wishlist Version: 0.2.1.0 I am using PyHoca on Windows. Sometimes pyhoca disconnects from a server (while for example putty keeps connected to the same server). I guess there is some time out or keep alive that is too low, so the session gets disconnected, when the connection is unreliable. This there some way to configure the ssh parameters (e.g. configfile)? Also for some host the ssh host key has been saved and for others every time I connect I have to answer yes to accept the host key. Is there any way to tell pyhoc to save the host key?

It is not at all functional under GNOME-3 and instead of upgrading the package for usage with GNOME-3, Alex and I have agreed on writing a systray x2godesktop-applet that can be used with any desktop environment that supports a systray. The x2gognomebindings package will conflict with gnome-session (>= 3) with its next release. We will gradually remove the package from distro versions that do not have a GNOME-2 anymore. This might take some time. This should fix problems for people who use the tarball installation method for nx-libs. For the packages of nx-libs: please note that the tarball now installs to /usr/local/lib/nx (and /usr/local/include/nx. You may have to adapt your packages for the next release of nx-libs. The fixes will be in the next release (3.5.0.16). A new cairo "stable" release is out and it seems to trigger another bug with NX. When I update the remote system to the new cairo release the Xfce session gives lots of such errors: The program 'xfce4-netload-plugin' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'. (Details: serial 225 error_code 2 request_code 25 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) The program 'wrapper' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'. (Details: serial 325 error_code 2 request_code 25 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. The panel and also the menu at right click. Any idea how to debug this? Do we need to build NX with debug symbols or some gtk/Xfce packages? PS: We don't seem to have a generic way in NX-libs to apply distro C(XX)FLAGS. I see wild hacks all around. Any idea how to improve this? -Andy ArchLinux

Bug#52: x2goclient deletes all files in a given directory, possible regression

Package: x2goclient Version: 3.99.3.0 Severity: important This is happening with: http://code.x2go.org/releases/binary-win32/x2goclient/with-old-pulseaudio-0… Haven't had a chance to try pre3 yet, but I am assuming it behaves the same, as nobody else reported the bug so far. Steps to reproduce: Create a batch file anyname.cmd with this content: @echo off \\box\x2go\Windows\x2goclient\x2goclient.exe --portable --no-menu --no-session-edit --hide --add-to-known-hosts --session="BOX" --home="%USERPROFILE%" --session-conf="\\box\x2go\box-configs\sessions" --autostart=iceweasel --user=unlimited1 pause Save this file in a directory where the user has write access. Double-click the batch file, enter password. Close Iceweasel. Right-Click the X2Go icon in the Notification area. Select "BOX" (or whatever you named your session, if you didn't follow the example from above). Select "Exit". As soon as the session terminates, ALL the files in the directory where the batch file was stored are deleted - including the batch file itself. This is BAD(tm). I've seen this with an older copy of x2goclient for Windows and reported it to Alex back then, not sure if it never got fixed or if it cropped up again.
