[SOLVED] X2Go BTS refused to accept mails

Hi all, X2Go BTS refused to accept mails for the last couple of days. This was related to a crashed spamd (SpamAssassin Daemon). The issue should be solved now. Install problems session broker

Hi All: Am starting to experiment with x2go session broker and am running into install problems (have same trouble with daemon and x2gobroker-wsgi). I'm using Squeeze. Initially was getting dependency issues with python-wsgi, so upgraded to python2.7. Now am getting: The following packages have unmet dependencies: initscripts : Breaks: console-setup (< 1.74) but 1.68+squeeze2 is to be installed keyboard-configuration : Breaks: console-setup (< 1.71) but 1.68+squeeze2 is to be installed libcups2 : Breaks: cups (< 1.5.0) but 1.4.4-7+squeeze3 is to be installed E: Broken packages root@bc:/home/soho# vserver First3 exec apt-get install x2gobroker-daemon Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. Q: regarding x2go plugin

Hi All: Am starting to experiment with the x2go plugin, and am trying to run it on a virtual machine. I'm also, as a baseline, working with a separate server where I'm running apache2 and the x2goplugin-provider. Initially, I could connect to the "regular" server but not to the VM. After disabling all the firewall rules (which I'll want to go back and address eventually), I could get the login screen to appear when trying to connect to the VM. However, I still can't actually connect. NOTE: In both scenarios, I am purposely not generating ssh keys, as eventually I want to explore using x2go with SSL. Q: When I initially connect to the "regular" server, I get asked to OK an ssh key, which I do and I can connect. I never get asked this question when trying to connect to VM. Any suggestions as to how to complete this initial experiment on using the plugin with a VM? Thanks!

Bug#320: windows client terminating by ctrl+alt+f

Package: x2go-client (Qt 4.8.1) Version: 4.0.0.3 When pressing Ctrl+Alt+F the a client window closes with the message that vcxserv.exe has to be terminated... On Windows 7. Wanted to try if there is a grab all keystrokes mode with full screen, but no luck yet, maybe this should be added to the x2go wishlist. Hi Stefan: Thanks so much for the ping back….my sense is while what you are suggesting is "the right way", it's not practical for our user base (i.e., to ask them to generate an ssh key, email etc.). So that might bring me back to the other parts of the email - can we work with some sort of encrypted tunnel without using ssh? - does the plugin approach work on Windows and OS X yet (I can't tell from the documentation - they may still only work on linux clients) such that would use SSL and some sort of user login page - or would the x2go-broker approach allow something similar, where a user goes to a web page, logs in, and has an SSL tunnel to connect to the x2go server… Thanks! Hi All: Currently the people I support who use x2go connect over ssh and are "outside the firewall". This means needing some secure way to get remote users the ssh private key. Q: How do other people do this, where there is no secure connection until the private ssh key is provided? Email doesn't seem to be a great way to send someone a key (e.g., as a password protected file)....maybe try some sort of "user login" web page or drop box? My understanding of the documented way of giving someone a key assumes you are on the same LAN....is that wrong? Q: Does x2go session broker still require ssh even if the initial connection is made over HTTPS? Would x2go session broker be a way to avoid using SSH keys but still provide an encrypted connection? Package: pyhoca-gui The mount that is issued for a documents map is as follows: sshuser@127.0.0.1:/cygdrive/C/Users/Dick/DOCUME~1 on /tmp/.x2go-dick/media/disk/_cygdrive_C_Users_Dick_DOCUME1 type fuse.sshfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,max_read=65536,user=dick) As you can see the map name is translated to a DOS format.
