package: x2goclient priority: wishlist From a recent experience of getting a user walked through to their first X2Go client connection, it might make sense to add a "New User Wizard" that walks you through generating an SSH key pair (using either PuTTYgen or cygwin's implementation of ssh-keygen on Windows, and native ssh-keygen on Linux and macOS) and properly handling the key afterwards (offering a default storage location depending on OS, displaying the fingerprint, offering a Copy-Paste text field for the public key for easy forwarding by e-mail, like PuTTYgen does, ...). Also, a way to import sessions would be cool. That way, one could ship a "sessions" file and have the client add the sessions contained in it. Of course, this needs some clever idea how to handle conflicts, i.e. when a session with the same [timestampID] or session name is already present. Bug#1122: x2goclient spurously asks for passphrase on autologin

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.5.2 When using x2goclient --pgp-card and not using a Smartcard, after typing a password there will be a popup window asking for a passphrase even though no usable keys are available. (The problem arose at a Thinclient of a customer who in some cases does not use their smartcards.) After some digging into the problem I think that the autologin flag should be cleared after SshMasterConnection::userAuthAuto has been tried once. Alternatively SshMasterConnection::userAuthAuto could check if there are usable keys before asking for a passphrase. Or it could check if a password has already been given. cu AW -- [...] If you don't want to be restricted, don't agree to it. x2goclient-4.0.5.2 always throws a dialog: """SSH daemon could not be started. You have enabled Remote Printing or File Sharing. These features require a running and functioning ...""" Reason: appDir equals /usr/bin, there is no /usr/bin/sshd on typical Linux installations. Windows client fails to launch with DSA key

The 4.5.0.2 x2goclient for Windows always passes the -h argument to sshd: strm<<clientdir<<"\\sshd.exe -D -p "<<clientSshPort.toInt()<<" -f "<< config <<" -h "<<key; with key being: std::string key="\""+cygwinPath(etcDir+"/ssh_host_dsa_key").toStdString()+"\""; However, the shipped sshd does not autogenerate a DSA key by default anymore, only RSA. If x2goclient wants to use a specific key, it should make sure that it exists beforehand or generate it itself.
