Thanks for your suggestions.
I'm using poedit 1.4.6 on ubuntu 12.04 with default settings.
This means that "CR/LF conversion" is set to "Line endings format: unix"
(also, it's default set to not changing format of existing catalogs)

The weird thing is that it's the same editor as I've been using 
previously without any such changes.

Can it be the sources that has got win-type CR/LF and that causes this?
