I'd really prefer some distro agnostic solution. I know, technically
launchpad is independant from Ubuntu but it is not really.
If you want to use a nice user friendly tool, what about transifex?
You can either set up your own tx server - but it's not that easy as I
heard - or use the service provided at transifex.net
