libreoffice does not start with a user

Hi there! Libreoffice no longer starts for a user. It works for all other users. Starting in the terminal gives no message, it hangs endlessly. renamed home/.config/libreoffice, no change. The directory is created again when libreoffice is started again, but only after several minutes. In addition, I have the impression that after the user has logged in, the icons on the desktop only appear after a long pause. libreoffice libreoffice --nolockcheck libreoffice --safe mode all end without notification. There was a .lock file in home/username/.config/libreoffice that I deleted. Does somebody has any idea? Greeting, Olaf

Windows Defender and X2Go Client 4.1.2.2

I recently tried to download the latest X2Go client. Multiple browsers give an error on the download about the application being malware/virus. Further, I was greeted with Microsoft Windows Defender SmartScreen stating: "Windows Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk." This is my first time downloading this version, so I don't know if this is an issue with SmartScreen or with the binary. I did not have this issue a couple of months ago when I downloaded 4.1.2.0.Thanks,Josh

Thank you for the rapid response Stefan Baur, Although I do agree that those AV names are, shall we say, 'less reputable', I was only emailing for due diligence in that both FF and Chrome flagged it as malicious. Chrome warning now when downloading windows installer?

As soon as chrome finishes the download I get a message: dangerous, so Chrome has blocked it. message on the downloaded file. I have not gotten this in the past. Maybe your site has been hacked? Is there a md5 or sha1 hash that I can use that has a gpg signing that I can trust came from the developers? I've seen this with other open source software.

Linux client connects, but not Windows

Hi Guys, I've been a long time user of x2go and I love it, but recently I've run into an issue where I can connect to my session from a linux desktop, but not from a Windows desktop. Windows Desktop (fails to run session) ------------------------------------------- My failing client is a Windows 10 system, and I just recently installed the latest x2go client to see if that would help. It's running: X2Go Client v. 4.1.2.2 (Qt - 4.8.6) And it's got the same 1900x1200 display attached to the PC, but it also fails when using just the laptop display, or another smaller remote display at home. Annoying for sure! When I connect from the failing client, it just closes the session after quickly opening and showing the windows for a second, then dying. what's the best way to debug this, and is there any better way to provide better debugging for end users when a connection is dropped like this? The session.log file doesn't seem to give any useful info when I connect, it makes the connection, then it suspends almost immediately. Sorry for the crappy cut'n'paste here. Issue With Desktop Sharing Function - No Updates On Client Screen

Hi, Hopefully this is the right list. I have an issue with the client not receiving any feedback from server when using desktop sharing. I am not sure what I am missing. Copy and paste between systems stops working

Hello, My question is about not being able to copy and paste strings between two systems via X2Go. I have two systems which specifications are: * on the one side, a Linux system: - OS Debian (Buster) - x2goserver (v.4.1.0.3-4) - Openbox (v.3.6.1-8) * on the other side, a Windows system: - OS Windows (8.1 Pro) - x2goclient (v.4.1.2.0-2018-06-22) Here is the problem: as long as I copy and paste strings from the Windows system to a console (xterm) in the Linux system, it works fine. If I start, for example, "gvim foo.txt" which contains the string "foo", select "foo" with the mouse and try to paste it in a Gvim or a Notepad running on the Windows system, the string "foo" is not pasted in the Windows Gvim or Notepad. And starting from this point, I cannot copy and paste anything between the two systems. I have to close all the Windows in the Linux system, close the X2Go session and restart a new one to have copy and paste work again between the two systems. And, as soon as I open a document with Gvim in the Linux system, and try to copy and paste strings to and from it, it malfunctions again. Practically, it becomes very unhandy because I regularly need to copy and paste things that way between the two systems. Can you help me solve that problem? Thanks and best regards. -- Léa

Hello list, I have two x2go servers running windowmaker: 1) same version (Debian Bullseye) 4.1.0.3-5 2) same client configs (except hostnames of course) Everything is ok, except that on one server "shared folders" is not mounted: $ ls -al x2go lrwxrwxrwx 1 richard richard 49 Aug 3 2018 x2go -> /tmp/.x2go-richard/media/disk/_home_richard_x2go/ $ ls -al x2go ls: cannot access 'x2go': No such file or directory There must be missing some Debian package I think. Cannot connect to x2goserver anymore

It worked yesterday and I don't remember doing anything special that would cause that problem. I have restarted both machines. I can connect to SIDE_1 from SIDE_2 via a SSH session.
