Using x2go on different clients

Hi there, Us anyone experience problems with different Ubuntu and Windows 7 environments on client side? I notice two differences when running x2go from Ubuntu and Windows 7: - if you run from the first time after the reboot using from Windows 7 when running the client on Ubuntu your screen will be fullscreen and you can't use the numbers on the numpad keyboard. - if you run from the first time after the reboot from Ubuntu, you cannot use numpad on Windows (and the @ sign) So, if you start your remote computer with one of them, you better not try to use another because some funtions will break. Does anyone know about this problem or something similar? Also, don't know if this helps, but I'm running a Custom desktop with command 'gnome-session --session=gnome-classic' to avoid using Unity on server side. -- Rui Cruz | Webmaster | 968271502 www.ruicruz.pt

Hello, i have testet Ubuntu 12.4 Lts with KDE Backports 4.9.2. http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-sc-4.9.2 After the last Fix from Mike it works with the X2go Nightly Builds. http://code.x2go.org/gitweb?p=x2goserver.git;a=commit;h=55d23d3c52f83f81bf9… I have now no Kwin crashes after login! Workarround for dead keys, euro's, etc

Hello, Since some time the dead keys don't work anymore in an X2go session. This seems to be a problem of "xkeyboard-config" from version 2.6. Is there a workarround for this problem? Is it an idea to use an older x2goagent with xkeyboard-config 2.5? Any other nice way to give in special characters like the euro sign? Hello list, Last time I made many changes in code of X2Go Client. New Features: -Support for SSH Proxy (HTTP-Proxy was developed by <Heinrich Schuchardt> xypron.glpk(a)gmx.de) -Support for SSH broker -Some improvements in common broker code -better support for encrypted SSH-Key -improvements in SSH connection classes -hide system tray icon before closing client etc. I have also wrote some documentation which can help you by developing your own X2Go broker. Mike will edit it and publish on X2Go Wiki soon. Incorrect keymapping?

With the most recent versions of x2go on Linux I've been having enormous difficulty with the keymap not being correctly applied - that is, the arrow keys, delete keys, home and end etc. appear to be mismapped between client and server, regardless of what I set the Keyboard settings to in the x2go client. I'm using the Qt client 3.99.2.2. Does anyone know what the cause of this is? The machine I'm connecting from is a laptop, but that shouldn't be fundamentally changing the keycodes x2go reads?

Raspberry Pi and acceleration of X2Go

Hi I recently bought a Raspberry pi and have been using it as a thin client with X2go with the config script found here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=13130 While working ok. X seems to max the cpu as soon as you start pulling windows around and it the experience is quite laggy. I'm looking for solutions for this. The raspberry does not have hardware accelerated X yet. Is this what is causing it? Is there a way I can use the hardware OpenGLES 2 directly? At my workplace we are considering x2go for thin clients and were looking into using the Raspberry pi as a client :-) What can I do to make it perform better. cheers Pascal

Dear all, The X2Go Project is proud to announce a couple of new X2Go component releases: - x2goserver (3.1.1.4) - cups-x2go (3.0.0.4) - x2goplasmabindings (with plasma-widget-x2go, 3.0.1.4) - python-x2go (0.2.0.10) All new packages will be available in our stable repositories (Debian, Ubuntu) within the next 24h. In the past months we skipped some minor announcements of release that were related to inclusion of some X2Go components in Debian (being available wheezy, partly in jessie). In the new X2Go Server release several issues got addressed: o Audio support (pulseaudio) with X2Go-proxied RDP sessions o Media support (client-side shared folders) for X2Go-proxied RDP sessions o XDCMP session type fixed o Fix KWin crashes on Kubuntu 12.04 (sponsored by Rohloff AG, thanks Mirco!!!) o Fix Xinerama with x2goserver-xsession package installed (also: thanks Mirco) In cups-x2go Helmer Teles provided us with a patch that now allows to specify the number of copies in a print job. Thanks to Helmer for that. In Python X2Go we fixed these issues: o Colour depth issues on Windows Clients (16 vs 17 bit) o Keyboard focus in X2Go-proxied RDP session against Windows 7 / 2008 o Fix session crashes due to left over bash-like commands o Prepare for DirectRDP session options... A Windows version of PyHoca-GUI with latest Python X2Go in it will be deferred till the release of PyHoca-GUI 0.2.0.5 (due in a couple of weeks, I guess).
