why can't you specify the target server using x2goclient from the CLI

*pyhoca-cli* has the *--server* option to specify the IP of the target desktop server but using *x2goclient* from the CLI apparently *does not* provide that option ? is there a reason it doesn't or couldn't ? thanks Brian

x2go plasma 5 support

I'm using plasma 5 with x2go for remote sessions, knowing the glx 1.3 limitation for running plasmashell. I can use x2go for remote session with plasma 5, besides the crashes that happens with kdeinit after login and with plasmashell when trying logout. For solving the logout crash I terminate x2go session and remotely kill all the applications that haven't finished. Besides this login and logout problems, every other applications I use seems to work as expected. Since this is a bit annoying I ask the developers if it is expected x2go to support kde5? Thanks

'stty -tostop' in shell config file prevents X2Go connection

Hi, is the following a bug or expected behavior? stty -tostop is in user shell configuration file on remote machine. Local log on to remote machine is no problem. X2Go connection to remote machine cannot be established with error message: Error --- Connection failed. stty: 'standard input': Inappropriate ioctl for device stty: 'standard input': Inappropriate ioctl for device [OK] Removing the line was the only way to solve the issue. I tested with: - Bash and TCSH ${HOME}/.bashrc ${HOME}/.cshrc - X2Go server: x2goserver-4.0.1.19-11.fc24.x86_64 Fedora 24 x86_64 - X2Go client: x2goclient-4.0.5.1-1.fc24.x86_64 on Fedora 24 x86_64 and Mac OS X 10.10 -- Kind regards, René

Ubuntu 16.04.1

There is definitely a bug in x2go operating under Ubuntu 16.04.1. I upgraded a machine that was running Ubuntu 15.10. I have my x2go client configured to use display 1. Under 15.10, when I connected it did use my entire screen but I could still switch work spaces using control+alt+arrows as desired. After this same machine was upgraded to 16.04.1 LTS, when I connect it uses my whole screen locally but creates a window in it that is 600x800 or thereabouts of the remote machine instead of using the entire display. I changed nothing else when I did this upgrade. Problems with shared folders

Hi all I have installed x2go and so far it is working fine except two things: - automounting of shared folders - (auto)-mounting of client-local media After reading, searching and trying for some days now, I'm stuck and need help. Some details about the involved machines: Server: Xubuntu 16.04.1 on an ESXi (4GB RAM, 4vCPU, 30GB Disk) Clients: - HP t5540 thin client with lubuntu 16.04.1 on it - an older kubuntu (14 something) on a normal PC On all machines the current (stable) x2go version from the ppa is installed. In the session-settings, I configured a shared folder "media". I installed x2gousbmount to be able to mount an usb key on clientside. The users on the server are in the "fuse" group. After connecting to the session I can't find my local shared folder. X2Go Server and Ubuntu 16.04.1

I've got x2go on a number of Ubuntu 15.10 servers and no problem with them. I recently installed a new server with Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS and there is a nasty problem with it. On the client side, I select Display 1, on the 15.10 servers this fives me a full screen like the Full Screen selection except I can switch between workspaces on my local machine with control+alt+arrows. On 16.04.1 LTS instead of getting a full screen, it gives me a full black screen with a 600x800 window in the upper left into the 16.04.1 server. I know 16.04.1 made some changes to Xorg. I am using Mate for the desktop on both systems but on 15.10 I installed the Mate spin of Ubuntu, however, with 16.04 I used the Server install and then installed Mate after the fact. If I try to use System->Preferences->Hardware->Display it tells me that xrandr version is too old, says I need 1.3 and it is 1.2, however, xrandr says program version is 1.5 but server reports 1.2, where as in 15.10 this works properly. x2go TCE ip of clients

Hello again, I have a server (UBUNTU 14.04) and a TCE with several thinclients. They are connected to the server by a separate network and get their IPs from the DHCP running on the (pxe)server. I know - on the server - to get the names of the (via x2go) logged in users but I need the IP address of the thinclient as well - means e.g.: bert - 192.168.0.50 eve - 192.168.0.51 a.s.o. Is there a (simple) way to get this info? No, I can't work with static IPs for the clients and my users are not always using the same client ... Thanks for any hint. Christian

Send message to all x2go-users logged in

Hello everybody, my scenario: in my company 6 colleagues are working in the same office building as I am and 2 are only working from their home office. We are all using the same server placed "out of sight" in an other building and are connected via x2go (TCE in the office) to the server. The server (running UBUNTU 14.04) is protected against power loss by an ups that is monitored via usb and NUT on the server. The problem is to send messages regarding critical conditions (e.g. power loss) to all - via x2go - connected users. This is necessary because the NUT NOTIFYCMD script starts a controlled shutdown sequence (putting several running virtual machines to safestate a.s.o. and finally shutting down the server) after 3 minutes running on battery. These messages are send by nut via wall automatically but this is not the way as none of the users has open a terminal - all are working under their LXDE/OpenBox GUI.
