keyboard remapping not working

Hi everyone, I have remapped the capslock key to control keys on all my computers, also I am using xcape so a short press of the capslock key will send an escape character. In x2go all the remapping and xcape stuff are not working. I have tried to kbd-type to auto and not set it at all in the pyhoca-cli. Is it possible to send the key generated in the client side unmodified to the server? Below is what I got by googling, but I am still unclear how to make my setup work. Thank you! The server now offers three modes for configuring the session's keyboard settings: 1. no change via client -> configure your keyboard setup through desktop tools, e.g. gnome-keyboard-properties 2. set model and layout through x2goclient -> use -type parameter of nxagent/x2goagent to set the keyboard model/type -> x2goclient + pyhoca-gui run setxkbmap -layout <layout> after session startup -> pyhoca-gui additionally runs setxkbmap -variant <variant> after session startup (new session profile: ,,variant''). ---> RECOMMENDED for x2goclient 3. NEW: autodetect the client-side keyboard layout through NX -> set the keyboard model/type to ,,auto'' (instead of pc104/us etc.) -> nxagent will create a file ~/.x2go/<session>/keyboard with all client-side keyboard settings -> x2goruncommand and x2goresume-session will call a new script: called x2gosetkeyboard -> x2gosetkeyboard will reset the keyboard settings and set all settings as found in the keyboard file

Hi again, I found my problem with Mac and Shared folder and printing. We use different SSH port number on x2goserver (not 22) but Mac client use 22 port number. In Preferencess on X2Goclient on Mac, it was not 22 on Clientside SSH port but the special server port number. I change-it for 22 and now everything work! I have Share Folder and Printing client side... X2go Desktop Environment Sessions Freeze upon interaction

Hello, My server instance is on Ubuntu 14.04 and this problem happens regardless of client OS ( I have tried the client on Archlinux and Windows 7). I am successfully able to connect to my x2go server using the "Single Application" Session Type and I don't have any issues with it at all. If I choose LXDE, KDE, or MATE as my Session Type, then the desktop displays properly, and as I hover my cursor over different icons, they highlight and then return to normal as the cursor moves on. However, in any of these desktop sessions, once I click on a menu, the menu appears but then the entire desktop interface freezes. I am not able to get it to respond any further except maybe if I Disconnect the session and then try to resume it. If I do, then the display might have progressed a little further toward what it should show (e.g. highlight the first menu entry) but the desktop is still unresponsive. I checked the /var/log/syslog with debug logging level but didn't see anything helpful. I can post the output here or to something like Pastebin if desired. Hi all x2goserver-4.0.1.18, Gentoo I'm trying to run /etc/x2go/Xsession to centralize environment configuration, esp. via Xresources, loading profile etc. I currently am not able to find any other way than hacking x2goruncommand in the following way. X2go opens (unwanted) fullscreen [solved]

Hi, I just solved the problem where x2go would open sessions in full screen on Windows without asking me to. I removed the whole install and cleared the registry keys to wipe out the config and now it works again, seems like there was an old config left over, that is not configurable/changable via the GUI. X2GO on Mac very unstable

Hi, I would to known is someone has problem with X2GO and Mac OS X. I try to use X2GO on Centos 6.6 (x2goserver 4.0.1.18-5) or CentOS 7 (x2goserver 4.0.1.18-5). Mac run 10.10.2 (but same problem with 10.10.0 and 10.10.1) with X2goClient 4.0.3.1-20150131 (same problem with all version). Problem 1: Freeze all the time after some minute of work. I need to kill X2GOClient on Mac. Problem 2: Shared Folder do not work. When I did “df” on Linux, the freeze and I have timeout. Disk is mount but I can not access to him. Problem 3: Try print client but page never arrive on Mac... So someone known good combination client/server for work with Mac/Linux? Someone has same problem? Hi Neal, To get rid of the messages on the server you can advice users to disable sound. After all, getting the messages means they don't have sound. full display options?

I tried selecting 'display xxx' option, but this acted as full screen. It took the entire display on my client, not leaving me with any way to switch displays on my client. I'm using kde (both server and client). I need access the the kde 'panel' at the screen bottom. I want x2go to take all the display real estate, except the panel at the bottom. X2go does'nt load /etc/profile on Centos5.11

Problems accessing broker server

Greetings, Suddenly, after rebooting our broker server, I'm not able to access the configurations hosted by the broker server. When I look in the logs, I see something similar to the following: [Wed Jan 28 15:58:19 2015] [error] [client 192.168.204.69] (13)Permission denied: mod_wsgi (pid=3796): Unable to connect to WSGI daemon process 'x2gobroker' on '/var/run/apache2/wsgi.3785.0.1.sock' after multiple attempts. Hi, Mike announced the release of the latest pyhoca-gui, I always have to browse around to get the latest. Can someone point the link on the homepage ( http://wiki.x2go.org/ ) where it says "Get X2Go" to the correct (latest) release? I would also advise not to use anything like "PyHoca-GUI_latest_mswin32-setup.exe" because that doesn't give us the version in the filename. Display stopped working??

I’m running X2go on a Mac, and connecting to a VM running Fedora 20. It’s been running for a couple of weeks now without any problems. This morning, I typed in the command “gvim” and got a message that the display wasn’t working – it opened vi in the terminal window instead of popping up a new window. The display is working fine… I tried the command ‘xterm’ and got this: [ncohen@ncohen-dev-fedora bin]$ xterm No protocol specified xterm: Xt error: Can't open display: :51 It was working fine 2 minutes ago – system has not been updated or rebooted. SELinux is installed and in permissive mode. I’m not sure if this is something to do with X2go or with Fedora – I’ve never seen it before. Anyone have any idea what might be going on here? x2goserver ubuntu 14.10

Hi all, I'm fairly new to x2go and I'm using x2goserver on Ubuntu 14.04 (with xfce and mate) and it's working pretty good. (aside from some problems with the client on win8.1) But when using Ubuntu(/Xubuntu) 14.10, it works but the "layout/look-and-feel" is not the same as when I log into the console directly. Also, I get a weird prompt (only when using x2go client) stating "Authenticationis required to change your own user data". I suppose this is due to the login over ssh. (don't get the error on the "console") Any suggestions on how to fix/troubleshoot this? I'd be happy to give more details/logs or test something.
