Bug#1420: Creating a new subfolder for session tiles is cumbersome

package: x2goclient version: 4.1.2.1 To create a new subfolder, you curently need to click on the three dots "..." next to the path in the session configuration, then right-click the folder under which you want to create the new folder. There's no hint that you need to do so, and the only buttons are OK and cancel. But wait, the weirdness continues: The right-click menu only offers a "create new folder" option (when used on the root folder). When you click that, it creates a folder named "new folder". It doesn't prompt you for a name. The only way to set a name is to right-click the newly created folder again, because this time, the menu contains a rename option. Suggestions: - The dialog popup should contain a hint that you need to right-click the folder where you want to create a new folder, or should offer a "create new folder" button that acts on the currently selected folder. - The "Create New Folder" option should prompt for a folder name before actually creating it. Bug#1419: Session name selection by keyboard autocomplete fails when using subfolders

package: x2goclient version: 4.1.2.1 When you create subfolders for session tiles, the usual autocomplete when typing the tile name fails to work - both for the folder name, as well as for the tile name of the session inside the subfolder. e.g. you have datacenter1/alice datacenter1/bob datacenter2/charlie datacenter2/doug mike Then typing "m" results in an autocomplete for "mike", however, "d" doesn't get you "datacenter", and neither does "a", "b", "c" or "d" trigger an autocompletion for alice, bob, charlie or doug. However, if you actually type "bob", then datacenter1/bob will start. I haven't tried what happens when there are two "bob"s in different subfolders, but it's probably not going to be The Right Thing (tm). Suggestion: autocomplete on subfolder names, if unique, follow up with a "/", then autocomplete on the session names inside that particular folder only. Bug#1364: MATE-Theming fails for x2gothinclient-minidesktop when installed on Debian Stretch

package: x2gothinclient-minidesktop This package contains a file "/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/19_x2gothinclient-minidesktop.gschema.override", however, according to Mike#1/sunweaver, the themes listed in there are the wrong ones for a GTK-3 based MATE, thus theming fails, which results in the Start button displaying the Gnome Foot instead of the MATE logo. On Debian Jessie (oldstable), MATE is based on GTK-2, and thus it works fine there. However, it needs to be changed for Debian Stretch. libssh in Windows X2Go Client

Hi, who knows which version of libssh we are using with current Windows client? Last week I was on site of one of my customers and investigated the issue when X2Go Client on Windows 10 was not able to open SSH channel with libssh error "socket error: No error". Apparently customer has this problem sometimes, not very often. But in case, when customer opened a session over SSH proxy, he was able to reproduce the issue in every 3rd-4th connection. I tried to build several versions of libssh for testing. With 0.7.7 I was still able to reproduce such behavior. After that I built the most recent version (0.9.2). We're still testing it, but looks like we don't have this issue any more. x2gobroker on centos6

Package: x2gobroker version: x2gobroker-0.0.4.1-0.0x2go1.1.git20190422.1224.main.el6.x86_64 Hello, I'm trying to install x2gobroker on centos6 (2.6.32-754.23.1.el6.x86_64) The repo for x2go is setup for 'release-epel' and 'extras-epel' (I think it should be a stable version). The x2gobroker is from x2go-release-epel repository. When yum install x2gobroker.x86_64 , it not pass due to dependencies (viz attached dependencies.txt) I would expect it will install all dependencies. Even if I install python34 (to have python3) manually and all python modules via 'pip3 install' and rpm -iUv all x2gobroker packages, the x2gobroker-daemon won't start. Could you please fix the installation for centos 6 or advise how to proseed it correctly? Thank you Lubos

HI.. I did go ahead and create a systemd script that runs at boot time to clear the linger folder out and recreate the session database. Any other thoughts on this? I know that Uli pointed out *you are struggling with**(human) resources and** most of the administrating members prefer mailing lists over** clumsy web forums- but may I suggest:* *You have a great product you maintain with X2Go.Everybody understands this eats up a lot of ressources.* *If you created an X2Go Forum you could potentially build up a wider user base. They can then help each other, which makes them happy (and potentially also takes some work from the mailing lists). This again helps a growing user base and vice versa. Potentially a wider user base and more publicity helps you gain more sponsors and donations. And so on. * *Further Devs may get further ideas from users, as most users find forums easier to handle than a mailing list.* *I strongly believe this could be an overall win-win.* *Alternatively, I could offer myself to consider building an (inofficial) forum. I will need help with some admins/moderators though and I will need time, but I like to support good products.* *Let me know what you think. By the way I am German as well.*
