Bug#1091: 'Xset: Unable to open display' prevents connection

Package: x2goserver Version: 4.0.1.19 I have a Linux Mint 18 x2go client and a Debian Testing x2go server. And I update both at random intervals. Things just worked for ages. I think I went from Linux Mint 15 to 18. Debian is also really uptodate. Then at one moment - I don't exactly know when because I don't use x2go daily - I started getting this error message. Connection failed. xset: unable to open display "" http://i.imgur.com/Z6yQb4R.png This sounds like one of those xorg errors you get when doing x stuff while not logged into a virtual terminal, but in the case of x2go, I use the magic but don't know how it works, so I have no idea where to start looking. Client machine: Linux Mint 18 (AKA Ubuntu 16.04) x2goclient 4.0.5.1-1 pyhoca-gui 0.5.0.4-1* pyhoca-cli 0.5.0.2-1* Server: Debian Testing x2go-server 4.0.1.19-0x2go2+git20160621.1064+stretch.main.1 x2goserver-xsession 4.0.1.19-0x2go2+git20160621.1064+stretch.main.1 nxagent 2:3.5.0.32-0x2go1+git20160614.734+stretch.main.1 *) Never heard of there. I don't think I ever installed them. I figured I didn't have them installed before so I installed them now. Didn't fix my problem though.

X2Go Server on Raspberry Pi

Hello Everyone! It is possible to build Debian Packages of X2GoServer/NX-Libs on ARM7 (takes about 1 hour on a RPi3). The build isn't automated yet, so there are no packages in the repo, but everyone can build from source on a Jessie-based Raspbian: echo "deb-src http://packages.x2go.org/debian jessie main" >>\ /etc/apt/sources.list.d/x2go.list apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keys.gnupg.net E1F958385BFE2B6E apt-get update apt-get install lsof bc libconfig-simple-perl pwgen -y apt-get install libdbd-sqlite3-perl libfile-basedir-perl -y apt-get install libfile-which-perl libcapture-tiny-perl xfonts-base -y apt-get build-dep nx-libs -y apt-get source -b nx-libs apt-get source -b x2goserver This creates a whole bunch of *.debs, of which you will need the ones starting with x2go*, nx*, and lib* matchen, and which don't contain -dev nor -dbg in their names. Session shadowing of :0 didn't work in our tests - this might either be due to some client-side hiccup, or due to the Raspi doing weird things for the local video output, that our session shadowing is unable to catch. Further testing is needed, same goes for shadowing actual X2Go sessions. Upcoming Deprecation of EOL Distributions

Hi In order to lower resource stress when building packages, I plan to deprecate support for distributions that have reached End Of Life on September 4th 2016. This includes the following distro versions: - Debian: o 6.0 "squeeze" - Fedora o 19 o 20 o 21 o 22 - OpenSuSE o 12.2 o 12.3 o 13.1 - SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (not Server!) o 11.2 o 11.3 After deprecation, no new builds will be published and existing builds will be deleted from the repositories to discourage users from installing unmaintained software. Patch for libssh and x2go for ssh-forwarding

Hi, sorry for the delay, I had promised that some time ago, but my friends, who wrote the patch, where really busy with tasks of higher priorities before they where able to check-read their patches. To enable ssh forwarding (connecting to the ssh agent) on x2go it takes two patch sets, one for libssh and one for x2go. Bug#1108: Inkscape and x2go, right click menus and other GTK3 menus dont show

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.5.3 In two Debian stretch computer with all x2go versions -debian, x2go and x2go nigtly- when try to open a menu in a GTK3 program, the menu dont show. Usualy you get a thin line on top right corner with a width of the menu. Also sometimes in the same position the line is a bit biger and show one item of the menu. GTK2 menus work well. Tested in diferent desktops, console... Cheers, Jabier.

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.5.3 Hi, x2go has a impresibe list of quality conexions, but seems dificult to select to not advanced user forcint try/get some times and finaly select one maybe not best suited to your conexion, maybe we can tag it with the recomended conexion -LAN,ADSL,T1...- or with the level of quality. I'm going to open some bugs on x2go now and here I want to explain a feature I think very cool: Suport pressure from tablets, tablets-pc... it bring me the option to relive my very old tablet-pc as a "Cyntic" Thanks for this great piece of code. Bug#1105: reverse tunnel fails on windows client

Package: x2go-client Version: 4.0.5.2 With win 7 and a first fresh install of x2go client I could not get client-side printing nor folder sharing activated . THe message popped up after attempting connection that sshd has not been started due to problem loading host key. the log : Could not load host key: /cygdrive/C/Users/user/.x2go/etc/ssh_host_dsa_key Disabling protocol version 2. Could not load host key sshd: no hostkeys available -- exiting. I run the key gen that is provided with the x2go client package manually but kept getting the same error I listed the content of the direcotry mentioned above Directory of c:\Users\user\.x2go\etc 2016-10-20 22:53 <DIR> . 2016-10-20 22:53 <DIR> .. 2016-10-22 22:38 279 sshd_config 2016-10-20 22:53 1 679 ssh_host_rsa_key 2016-10-20 22:53 405 ssh_host_rsa_key.pub and realised that the file name contains _rsa_ not _dsa_ as x2go client expects I created copy of the files but renaming _rsa_ to _dsa_ and it works - both the client side printing as well as direcotry sharing Client OS version: WIN7 x2go version : latest september 2016 build
