Can you cross-check the observed problem with latest X2Go Client [1]??? Can you launch X2Go Client from a terminal on Mac OS X and use a tool like strace (if that exists) and check its output for pointers to file-not-found errors? That would be really helpful for tracking down this issue. Bug#236: x2goclient on mac ignores users language setting

Bug#234: x2goclient on mac without sshd reports error

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.1.0 Severity: minor On Macs where sshd (system preferences -> sharing -> remote login) hasn't ever been enabled, there does not exist any ssh host key. X2goclient looks for this key (/etc/ssh_host_rsa_key.pub) and if it does not find it, it opens a dialog box, complaining that sshd isn't running and that filesharing and local printing won't work. This despite the session given by x2gobroker has these features disabled. Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.5.1 Severity: wishlist Hello. x2goclient uses libssh but does not use a client config file the way libssh can, ssh_options_parse_config() http://api.libssh.org/master/group__libssh__session.html#ga82371e723260 c7572ea061edecc2e9f1 ~/.ssh/config or /etc/ssh_config are essential for client configuration of the ssh connection over which x2go sessions run. Among other important configurations are Ciphers and KexAlgorithms specifications, with which a client can require only trusted crypto algorithms or else refuse connection. The current code simply negotiates whichever algorithm is the first match in the hardcoded libssh list to whatever the remote sshd specifies (eg. in its sshd_config file). The agreed algorithm is currently not exposed to the x2goclient user, but specifying it in the client config file would make it knowable by the user depending on it. There are many other configurations the config file could specify, to make x2goclient meet user requirements, even just "work the same as my other ssh sessions" where libssh supports those features. The Session preferences dialog's Connection tab could expose a file open dialog to select a config file. That file open dialog could default to the user's .ssh directory, or else to the directory specified in the Session tab's "Use RSA/DSA key [...]" value if any. -- Matthew.Rubenstein(a)Blue-Green-Group.com 718-233-5097

Hi everyone, a few days ago, Mihai (ionic) posted a call for translations to <x2go-i18n(a)lists.x2go.org>, in which he mentioned that he intends to have X2GoClient 4.1.0.0 release-ready around 2017-02-09. Key new features/bugfixes of this upcoming release are: - PulseAudio Support on macOS - updated SSHD handling for the client-side SSHD required for file and print sharing - fix for the "key error" messages also relating to SSHD that may have kept file and print sharing from working, esp. on Windows A full list of features and bugfixes will be published by Mihai once the official release takes place. This message is so you can plan ahead and find a spot in your personal schedule where you might want to download, test, and deploy the new client. I would also like to use this opportunity to introduce a new sponsor, CFD.direct. CFD Direct <http://cfd.direct> are the primary developers of OpenFOAM <http://openfoam.org>, the free, open source software for computational fluid dynamics.
