Bug#1028: VcXsrv windows xserver crashes when trying to resume a session with wrong screen resolution

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.5.0 Error message: "VcXsrv windows xserver (X2Go/Arctica Builds) has stopped working" How to reproduce: Start an x2go session using the Windows X2Go client, then suspend it. Now change the resolution for the session and try to reconnect. Expected behavior: Well, it would be really, really nice if x2go could change the X11 resolution dynamically, a la VirtualBox/VMWare. Failing that, it might be nice if x2goclient could query the resolution of the remote session and use that, or else fail gracefully with a message telling the user about the mismatch. This is easily reproducible on Windows 10 Pro x64 client with Ubuntu MATE 14.04 LTS server.

I also get the same error. However: Add the lines: export GSETTINGS_SCHEMA_DIR=/usr/share/gconf/schemas/ export XDG_DATA_DIRS=/usr/share/gconf/schemas/ to your .profile, and things will start. XFCE and Mate are completely borked. LXDE still runs file. Seems like a GTK issue.

I have exactly the same problem, in a VM in Xenserver, perfectly reproducible. The working system is based on an Ubuntu Server 16.04 64 Bit Beta 2, once I upgrade, X2Go stops working, with the same kind of error message. Bug#1027: generalize OTP support for challenge/response style tokens

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.5.2 Tags: patch Hello, I really like the new support for OTP (One Time Passwords). This patch adds support for ANSI X9.9 OTP tokens (and probably others too). These tokens look like tiny calculators. Here's a link to a typical example: http://www.safenet-inc.com/multi-factor-authentication/authenticators/one-t… Here's a diagram of the "user experience" when using these tokens: http://www.safenet-inc.com/uploadedImages/images/products/data-protection/a… With this patch, if the SSH server sends a verification prompt to the X2Go client that contains the string "challenge", then the client will prompt the user for the verification code (as before), but this time it will show the user the actual content of the server's prompt. This enables the user to see what the "challenge" is. This is not a requirement for the time or event based algorithms currently supported. The X9.9 standard was very popular before the newer algorithms came along and there are many companies that use this style. Thanks for your consideration! X2Go rocks! - Tor

But when I try to logout without closing for example firefox logout process freeze. I don't see panels and for example file manager, but can still operate inside of firefox which doesn't have bars, so it's look like not all application are closed by logout process (I can see firefox process running to). To completely close the sesion still clicking on terminate in x2go client window is needed. Logout process directly on server works fine. Problem only occur during x2go connection. I wanted to try mentioned workaround but it's not working or I get it wrong (I moved /usr/bin/mate-session to another file and create new /usr/bin/mate-session file with rx permissions to everybody containing short script from Message #94). After that I see only black screen after login and: "/usr/bin/mate-session: fork: retry: No child processes /usr/bin/mate-session: fork: retry: No child processes /usr/bin/mate-session: fork: retry: No child processes /usr/bin/mate-session: fork: retry: No child processes /usr/bin/mate-session: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable" in log file. Anybody is able to help with this?

Bug#1024: expand x2goclient --autostart option to support multiple apps

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.5.2 Tags: patch Hi, Several of my users would like to be able to automatically launch several apps when they start their hosted applications session, the existing x2goclient --autostart option only allows one app to be specified to be autostarted. The attached patches expand the --autostart option so that multiple comma separated app names can specified as well to optionally allow more than one app to be auto-started. Thanks Jason

Excuse me, I'm embarrassed to tell you that the Mate logout problem happens with TurboVNC and not with x2Go! I am comparing more products at the same time ...
