Bug#108: Missing fonts in X application

Package: x2goclient Setup: X2go server on Ubuntu 12.10, client on Win7 Issue: One of our CAD application displays unreadable text. When trying to select another font, only one is available. xlsfonts also reports only a few fonts. The application works fine locallyor when using a Linux X2go client and xlsfonts shows a long list of fonts. How to solve: Install the 'font' directory from the VcXsrv mainline package. After that, the application shows readable text and provides a large selection of alternative fonts. I think it would be good to bring the Windows and Linux client closer by shipping a more complete VcXsrv with it or at least offering the option.

Bug#546: Unable to create SSL tunnel: Global request tcpip-forward failed

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.2.1-pre05 On Windows, doing the following steps 1. Connect to a session. 2. Disconnect from the session (click the X) 3. Connect to the session again. Causes the session to connect, but you receive both an error dialog and a warning dialog with the following text: Unable to create SSL tunnel: Global request tcpip-forward failed If you X out of or click OK to the error, nothing happens. If you X out of or click OK to the warning, the session ends and you get the message: Title Bar: X2Go - 211 The connection with the remote server was shut down. Please check the state of your network connection. It is safe to assume that if I build x2goclient for windows from the official source release of 4.0.2.1, it wold have this problem. Most, if not all earlier 4.0.2.1 preview builds are affected too.

Bug#526: Included PulseAudio consumes too much CPU when launched with high priority

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.2.0 When I use sound forwarding and launch inside X2Go session some application with sound support, pulseaudio.exe at client side starts consuming ~100% CPU. By default, X2Go Client starts pulseaudio.exe with high priority (13). When I set priority to "Above Normal (10)" PA's CPU load drops to 10-20%. With "Normal (8)" it drops to almost 0%, although sound is still played stable, without any additional delays. I'm using WinXP SP3 (32-bit) on my laptop with single core CPU. This issue seems to be "PulseAudio 5.0 && WinXP"-specific.

Bug#501: Missing function: Authentication Forwarding

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.1.1-1ubuntu1 Hi, the current x2goclient lacks a highly important feature, the Authentication Forwarding of ssh. Would be nice to have it. The pyhoca-client does support this, but unfortunately does not come with a Mac OS X dmg package for easy installation. Since this is essential for remote working, it would be really important to have this feature in the plain x2goclient. Best regards Hadmut

Question about VERSION file in NXCOMP

Hi al, I have a question about the VERSION file that you use in the nxcomp directory, it seems to be fixed at 3.5.0. Is there any reason not to update this? Have you found any issues? I know there is negotiation about the minor and major versions in between the client, but the patch version doesn´t seem to be affected. This is basically to be able to track errors and be able to match them up with the commits, Please let me know if this makes sense, Regards, Nito
