but setting NX_CLIENT to /usr/bin/x2goclient is wrong. X2Go Client  
does not know how to handle NX dialog requests.

You need to install nxdialog to /usr/bin on the X2Go Server and set  
NX_CLIENT to /usr/bin/nxdialog during session startup (i.e. before  
nxagent/x2goagent comes up:
