As I said, both VPN and X2GO use exactly the same connection with the same
bandwidth

I tried this and it it did not make much difference, maybe a tiny bit less
sluggish, but hard
to tell .. windows are still jumpy and there are delays when opening a
window until it gets shown
that are much longer than with VNC.
