[X2Go-User] Can't connect to server with user 'A' but with user 'B'

I'm using x2go server 4.0.1.20 with nxagent 3.5.0.32 on OpenSuse tumbleweed.

I login with x2go client 4.1.2.2 on Windows 10.

With User 'B' I can connect fine and the XCFE seesion is started properly.

With User 'A' I get an error on the client:
"The remote proxy closed the connection while negotiating the session. 
This may be due to wrong authentication credentials passed to the server."

On the server the session.log is:

Both user use the identical x2go session settings on the client and I 
tried both passwort and ssh key authentication for user 'A'.
The password is working fine as I can login as user 'A' with a ssh 
client (Bitvise).
What are possible causes that the two users behave diffently? I tried 
identical .profile files for both users but this did not help.

Any tips? Thanks
