OK, I dnf rm'd x2goclient, and did
sudo dnf --enablerepo=x2go-nightly-fedora install x2goclient (installing the 
F30 packages)

I did reconnect without the error message.
Thanks!  Now we need an x2go release we can push to Fedora.
