You're doing it wrong.

X2Go-TCE requires an X2Go SERVER somewhere, unless you want to use it as
frontend to RDP, where using an X2Go server is optional, if you can live
with the limitations.

If you want to "clone" the output of a running X2Go session, that's what
Session shadowing is for.  No VNC needed.

If you want the TCE to connect to a machine running a VNC server -
either install an X2Go server somewhere, and put the VNC client on it,
using the X2Go server as proxy between TCE and your VNC machine, or -
ditch X2Go-TCE and roll your own "VNC-TCE" - I would suggest using
Debian Live for that.
