I don't really get what the issue is, so please either take care of
that task ("we should ...") right away, or file a bug explaining what
the problem/issue is so it doesn't get lost. (I can't file it since I
don't understand what you're talking about, sorry - and a bug saying
nothing more than "Mike#2 sees a problem here that I can't explain"
doesn't help.)
