[X2Go-User] Can X2GO do pixel-doubling? (client- or server-side)

You could launch a session (local X11 or X2Go) and launch a second  
session via X2Go desktop sharing ("Connect to local desktop" as  
session type in X2Go Client).

In shadow mode (desktop sharing), NX 3.x can do some scaling of the  
remote/shadowed desktop. Maybe this fits your use case.
