X2Go Client has its own LDAP backend, very like to the usage of an  
LDAP address book.

If the servers use libnss-ldap(d) or the NIS functionality in basic  
libnss is not related to when written "X2Go Client in LDAP mode".

Unfortunately, the public documentation for X2Go Client in LDAP is  
very scarce and I have neither tested it so far.
